Since I refused to get on the bandwagon assuming that Gonzalez had a great year among his very good years because of steroids, it is good to see that he was not among those on Mitchell's list.

It would be nice if Ken Kendricks finally issues an apology to Gonzo and D'backs fans for trying to run him under the bus as a ploy to justify getting rid of him.

Gonzo was, and always will be, the face of the D'backs. He deserved more respect from the Diamondbacks Executive Go-fer.

To put it in perspective. Most of the intel came from either BALCO, Radomski, or McNamee. It would be naive to think that they were the only ones supplying major leaguers with performance enhancers. How many players used a supplier other than the three cited? How many players were smart enough to purchase the enhancers under a false name or have a trusted friend purchase them? The surface has barely been scratched.

Again, Kendrick said he didn't believe Gonzo took steroids. He just used his situation as an example.

No throwing under the bus, no apology needed. If anything Gonzo should apologize for being a giant ass on his way out, complaining about playing time, and bitching when Carlos Quentin started one game in his place.

All that said, this doesn't prove that Gonzo never took steroids. It just proved nobody sold him out.

Sorry, I put the team ahead of the player.:)

We'll have to agree to disagree.
OK. But I'll bet you root for players on your favorite teams, as well.

Especially if their name doesn't turn up on an investigative list of violators.

Sure, I root for the players.

But I also am not naive enough to think that just because a name wasn't on this list means the player is clean.

I am just asking a question out of peer curiosity, so please do not take it any other way.

Do you want Gonzo to come up dirty? And if so, why?

Not really, in fact, I wish no players came up dirty.

Just I believe that Gonzo was/is not the saint that he's made out to be around here.

Why would anyone hope any ballplayer would come up "dirty"? Talk about taking a petty position. How can you be a fan of the game and wish that upon any of the players?

Well until I see otherwise, I have no reason to believe he wasn't.

Again, I did not say he did, I just asked if he did. The way Green Machine has talked about Gonzo and steroids made me wonder. I personally did not believe he did and will continue to believe he is a saint until proved other wise, but I am a trusting person of good characters.

Thanks for clarifying. Again, I was just wondering.

He was definitely taking something. Maybe not steroids, but something.
