NO RESPECT.....Still

Just left a local casino i Vegas and here is the betting lines for the NFC and SB champions in 2010!

NFC:

Giants 3-1
Cowboys 7-2
Eagles 4-1
Panthers 5-1
Cardinals 6-1
Vikes 15-2
Packers 8-1
Falcons 8-1

Superbowl:

Pats 3-1
Steelers 7-1
Giants 8-1
Colts 9-1
Titans 12-1
Panthers 12-1
Cowboys 12-1
Chargers 15-1
Falcons 15-1
Vikes 15-1
Packers 20-1
Saints 20-1
Jags 30-1
Buccs 30-1
-----------------------------------------------------
Cards 15-1
Broncos 35-1
Texans 40-1

etc. etc.

Odds are fair IMO but if you notice I put the Cardinals below the line at 15-1 when they should technically be listed in the other group of teams 15-1 such as the Falcons and the Chargers.

However when you go and look on the big board that is illuminated for all to see at the sports book it looks just like it does ABOVE the line. The Cards aren't even listed as a betting option even though their odds to win are better than 4 teams that are listed and the same as 2 others that are listed. The only way I got the Cards odds was to ask for the paper with complete odds behind the counter.

We went to the SB had the highest TV rating in SB history in said SB and we still cant get any respect. They list the freaking Jaguars on the board over the Cards when EVERYONE associated with sports betting knows that they are the team that has the least amount of money bet on them in any way year in and year out and it isnt even close.

Surprising, I thought it might be:

Pats: 1-1

Everyone else: 10000000-1

Well the SB loser has failed for how long now? Maybe the cardinals can break the trend....that with fitz on the madden cover too. At least Troy P. is on there too.

Aside from that I don't really think in today's NFL you really want the SB favorite label. It really works against you. The cards will do well if they can play the no respect card. They did last year at least.

Odds on Cowboys are way too high. In that division. With a team that hasn't won a playoff game in a long time.

Its not the odds that is dissrespectful. Its the story below the odds.

exactly. I'd rather the cowboys be at the bottom. But hey it's good times when a bad season is 9 wins as opposed to 5 a few year ago. But if they don't get it together it could be back that way soon.

got you. Just saying that the team themselves can use it to their advantage as a rally cry. I don't know how much that helps, but in today's nfl I think there is something to being the underdog as opposed to being favored.

We were getting ripped a new one on NFL Live by Tom Jackass and Chris Carter because of the Boldin rumors. Not surprised that we still get no love on a national standpoint.

80/20 rule holds true in the NFL like in business
