For those that don't want Reid, because he struggled the past 2 seasons, who is your better choice and why?
McCoy - cause he has shown to be able to adapt a successful offensive system to the players he has, and not try to find players to fit into his system. After the ridiculousness with Whiz, I am skeptical of any coach that has a very strict requirement of the "type" of player he needs. Whiz had 6+ years to get "his players" and they never ended up being what he needed.
Horton - His success speaks for itself. His ability to motivate players speaks for itself. His demeanor, and PR savy is what I like in a head coach.
I just think the NFL game has passed Reid by. He is another coach that needs "his type of player" in order to fit into "his system". Reid has struggled mightily since McNabb, Jim Johnson, John Runyan, and Tre Thomas left Philly. His draft picks as of late have been extremely poor, and his play calling is atrocious.
Living in the Philly area, there is no escaping watching, and talking Eagles football. Reid WAS a good coach, but I think he spread himself too thin in Philly, and thus the game passed him by.

To me the situation is very close to when the organization picked Kevin Kolb up as their QB. They needed to do something, they did. It was not my first choice, but I couldn't argue the move.
I think the game has passed Reid by. When I hear about the praise Reid gets, I think about the praise that Whiz has been receiving. Both are "good football coaches" yet both were just fired, and their teams were a laughing stock last year.
If Andy Reid comes here, I will say "It could have been, or could be a lot worse" and hope I am dead wrong. I would LOVE for Reid to come in and turn things around. Absolutely love it.
But, IMHO, that won't be the case.
