Shai is 6'6 and has tremendous wingspan. Young is shorter and has very short arms. What is the point of Young with Booker/Ayton on board ?

The only way the Suns move up to draft Young is because they believe he will be a star and then some.

I would prefer to move up for Shai personally (cheaper move and has more defensive potential/versatility). I was simply pointing out that I think Trae may actually surprise a little with his defense in the NBA. At least against the smaller quicker guards in the league.

I can definitely seeing him being a star...but with the suns? I don't know if he'd be a star as a third scoring option. Yeah he dishes out dimes though so he's still nice. I just don't see the need . I like the versatility of Shai. He could be a poor man's Doncic ...:)

Really? He gives you a legit floor general who also has stupid three point range. He’d be a really great PG for that team, IMO.

But at what price Cheese?

Shai gives a lot of things the suns need for far cheaper.

If he is working as hard on his defense as he says he is than I could certainly get behind picking him up. As long as he is not an absolute liability against opposing PGs he could have value on both ends of the floor.

I’ll be honest, even if he’s below average, if Book, JJ and Ayton all improve the way I think they can and you just got a grunt worker at PF, I can live with bad D from Young if he runs the team and spreads the floor like I think he can.

I don't know but I would want to know what they were saying... if that makes any sense.
I discovered how you do it. You click on the name of the person you want to ignore and when his profile page comes up, you have the option to ignore him. It works, too!

I'm afraid to ask who you did it too.

I think Young's best fit team is as a #1 or #2 scoring option. If he slides to #3 then I think it seriously negates his strength somewhat.

The guy who was flooding us with chinese junk... houohounhu06 or something like that

Has anyone said his name 5 times while looking in the mirror? Don't stop at 3, you'll end up with Bloody Mary or maybe Beetlejuice.

The flip side of that is that if one of Young, Ayton or Booker is your third scoring option than you have a team that is going to score a lot of points. If you can manage a way to have that team play some decent defense they will win a lot of games.

I think Young's best fit is as the 12 time All Star starting point guard in the NBA for whatever team he plays for. Yes, I'm a Trae Young fan if that isn't clear. Honestly, I think comparing him to Shai is like comparing Nash to Kris Dunn or Elfrid Payton.

I was reading about Nash the other day and the article mentioned he should have shot the ball more sort of like Curry to be more of an offensive threat. That was not his style but it fits the style of the new NBA.
