If we beat Utah we might get the 3rd seed and play San Antonio.

Is that really better than staying 4th and playing Denver?

Portland is #6 though and plays Golden State in their last game.
San Antonio is #7 and plays at Dallas in their last game.

It is unlikely San Antonio takes over Portland since Dallas still needs to win their last game if Utah beats us I think.

I'm all for getting 3rd regardless of whose 6th. Can't worry about that, just win.

I don't know. There is a quote, "be careful what you wish for." All I ask is the Suns play hard tomorrow against Utah, especially using their reserves, and let the chips fall where they may.

Right on... Spurs or Thuggets. Won't matter. We'll have home court in either case. We are the better team in either matchup.

+1. I remember how Avery sat Dirk so they could play GSW. We all saw how that ended. This team has exceeded my expectation for this season, all i ask is they go to Utah and play hard.

Yup... and, if there ever was a time for us to finally, once and for all slay the dragon that is the Spurs, it's now. This Suns team can do it. I don't know if Amare will be here next season. And if he isn't, that could be the end of Nash as well... I REALLY want the Spurs!

I would rather we just rest the starters. Rested legs are key, please rest the starters next game.

Hell, I'd go for 3rd either way--because if we end up getting past the 1st round, our opponent would likely be Dallas. I would be ecstatic if our first two opponents are from the group of Denver, Portland and Dallas.

Completely agree. Easiest chance the Suns have to make a deep run would be Blazers in round 1 and either Mavs/Spurs in round 2. Mavs because I believe Nash will still own them all series long and Spurs because I think the Suns with HCA will take them.

This will also give time for Lopez to get back for a Lakers match-up where he'd be needed most.

how nice is it to see a team that A) Contends B) Isn't a gimmick C) develops young talent?

Is there ANYONE who misses DA anymore?

Too bad gentry wasn't coaching 2-3 years ago.

There is no doubt the mental hold the spurs had over the suns started right at the top with d'antoni (thus the total collapse of kerr's faith in d'antoni after game 1 against s.a. in 2008).

I do believe the Suns have the strongest chance ever to make the finals. We are not that far behind the Lakers this year.

when they went through that slump around december, that was the killer.
record wise. they could have been tops in the league maybe?
some where close to clevelands record. crazy when you think of what could have been.

Damn, Dragic and Lou look like Nash and Amare out there.
I was thinking the same thing as they did their passing and scoring routine three times in a row.

I hope there is no one left who thinks that Goran doesn't have the potential to be a top quality NBA point guard.

Along with Amar'e's resurgence (+), the loss of Lopez (-), the defense and hustle of the bench in general (+) and Grant Hill's endurance (+), the emergence of Dragic as a quality Point Guard (allowing Nash to reduce his minutes) has to be among the Suns top stories of the year.
