Moncrief hasn't been good either though. He was one of the reasons Jacksonville wasn't good last year.

He was Devin Funchess last year....got paid big money for one year and then was mediocre.

Tyrell Williams MIGHT BE cheaper than we thought. He may be asking for top WR money and he's not getting it. Maybe he can be had for a more reasonable contract now?
Moncrief could improve and has big play possibilities. I don’t think he has a drop problem. Add to that I wouldn’t sign him to more than 1 or 2 years.

this would be a good get for us if it happens and his price isn't as high as he believed.

but man... if Funchess can get that ridiculous contract, I'd be surprised if someone else doesn't give a similar one year prove it deal. Kinda like what happened with Alshon Jeffrey.

COULD is the key word. Usually if a receiver hasn't made the leap after year 3, they aren't going to.

He's a scrub. He's never been very good, he catches about 55% of the passes thrown his way. Not great.

Why is everybody all over and high in a guy that has averaged 42 yards a game over the last two years on a high powered offense??

This. I do think we need help on the outside, but I don't know I want to pay him any kind of marginally substantial coin.

I'd rather draft a kid in the 2nd or 3rd.

Greedy?

He made a business decision and was quite clear why. He believed that they would physically use him up and curtail his future employment opportunities.

He wasnt going to being paid the veteran's minimum, he would've played having been franchise tagged.

I will never understand the hate for a guy (like Leveon) who was a bargain for 4 years to bet on himself for his one big pay day. SMH

I would be OK if we threw the same contract Funchess got. IMO I thought he was going to get $12 million per year, like 4-5 years. He might still, but I'd be ok with throwing $13 million or 14 at the off chance that he explodes as the #1 outside receiver.

The hate is because he had offers on the board that were clearly better for him than anything he's going to get now. He got greedy and busted over a deal that was extremely close to what he wanted.

#Rams OL Roger Saffold, who was spotted in the facility saying goodbye to teammates, is signing a 4-year, $44M deal with the #Titans, source said. He gets $22.5M in guarantees. Obviously, the physical will be important (as we learned a few years ago).

There are many factors why Le’Veon Bell is essentially down to the Jets or bust. But do not ignore his holdout last year as a huge one. I can’t overstate how much some owners hated that Bell sat out the year. Bell is Morpheus and the owners are Agent Smith.

4 years at 44 for Saffold? Would have MUCH rather done that and take a flier on Roby for the one year instead of giving Alford his deal.

Wow Paradis signs with Carolina out of nowhere. Reports were either NYJ or stay in Denver.

3-year, 27 million. Very good deal for one of the best centers in the league.
