But I guess if you think about it, with O leaving, we are pretty much guarenteed some storms starting tomorrow. Yes, even in El Mirage.

Absolutely guarenteed my friend, bet the house on it.

I think you sould file for state grant money to help with the drought. You just need to prove that when you are not here that it rains, and they might start paying for really nice vacations. Just a thought.

The problem with that is; It's not a vacation it's work related.
This is the latest in July I have had to leave for work.
As I said this has been going on for a while.

It ain't gonna happen tonight for us in Phoenix, but I wonder if there's anything left of those poor shack dwellers in south Tucson. They're getting battered again for the second night in a row. The wealthy recluses in Sierra Vista must be under water by now.

Just as you say that, stuff is developing towards the south, with the same movement as last night...

We could get a really late night storm here.

In other news Arizona is planning on giving El Mirage back to Mexico and every resident will have to apply for citizenship again.

Can we even be sure El Mirage even exists? Just because Gee says so doesn't make it so. For all we know he could be hallucinating, for reasons best not presumed. I know I've never been there.

My master bedroom faces south and I'm seeing a lot of lightning to the far south

Just got home and was checking the radar....looks like storms are forming in the same spot as last night. Hopefully they get in here soon so that I dont have enough time to fall asleep only to wake up to my house rattling.

Nonstop lightning and rain now...crazy storm at 3am :)

Also, looks like something building in the NW, I'm praying for Gee right now to get some rain.

I would say you were crazy to be up that late, but the wife and I were also awake and giggling at old stories on the patio when the storm came in. We decided to make a Whataburger shake run in the rain and lightning. I was so sleepy I felt a little like drunk driving. Wasn't one of best decisions to hit the road like that.

Good amount of rain here in Mesa. Was a very nice storm. We watched the temperature gauge drop 25 degrees in about 10 minutes.

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS OVER PORTIONS OF AZ...
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE IS IN PLACE ACROSS SRN AZ WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE 60S. THIS MOISTURE PLUS HEATING HAS RESULTED IN MODERATE INSTABILITY...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS THAT HAVE BEEN SUNNY THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. ELY MID LEVEL WINDS PERSIST ALONG THE SRN PERIPHERY OF THE CENTRAL PLAIN/ROCKIES UPPER RIDGE AND SHOULD HELP PROPEL STORMS OVER THE HIGH TERRAIN WSWWD ACROSS THE DESERT FLOORS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON/EVENING HOURS. THE STRONGER INSTABILITY SHOULD SUPPORT A FEW STORMS WITH HAIL...WHILE OUTFLOW FROM NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN MAY CONGEAL INTO AN MCS...WITH A THREAT FOR WINDS THROUGH MID EVENING.

Lookin good for tonight....and if I am correct, O left today also....so a good storm is pretty much a lock.

I was sleeping.. But appearently I got a lite rain becuase I have a puddle in the bed of my truck.. Very small puddle though.. And it couldnt have been anything big because the same piece of paper that blew into my yard friday morning is still there.. Im leaving it there just for this reason, to see if when Im sleeping a massive storm hit..

Nice story :) My wife had been sleeping for like 4 hours already when the storm came in :)

Yeah, temp dropped nicely...we got about 1.5 tenths of an inch of rain....

That makes the weekly today 55 tenths of an inch now...
