the wife and I were also awake and giggling at old stories on the patio when the storm came in. We decided to make a Whataburger shake run in the rain and lightning.

Eh, Ive seen this happen before.. bleedingred hogs up all the rain in Wickenburg then it blows back to the east.. Im not holding out hope for this..

I will say this.. They named El Mirage correctly.. Only a mirage of rain/water happens here..

Just went out and looked.. Wickenburg is gonna get hit hard.. The storm is directly north of my house and I can see lightning busting off up there.. Big storm..

Its interesting.. The past week or so the wind has been blowing west, today its blowing east.. hhmm..

REALLY dark skies just to the north of me. Radar indicating some pretty big stuff heading south right at North Scottsdale, Carefree & Cave Creek areas!

I think the two cells you were watching might miss you, but there's a storm cell developing over north of Cave Creek that could be promising by the time they get your way.

Now Chandler< Meas and Tempe has a cell building up to the SE.. And Scottsdale has cells moving in too..

Put a pale out before you go to bed. See if you can capture some of that yummy mud-rain water.
