Flash flooding along 60 near Cibecue.

I think us Phoenicians will have to wait for this moisture flow to turn around and come back down the mountain tonight before we see anything considerable. It doesn't look like that NW flow is backbuilding. In fact it's dissipating at it moves across the Valley floor.

Ok the local rain gauge only says .31 inches so far but I don't believe a rain gauge can accuratley measure sideways rain for 20 minutes

What is in store for tonight?

It's surrounding town, but looks like the heat bubble is in effect for the middle of town...

Kind of running by the south of me...sucks...but a huge thunderhead is just south of me making noise...it's amazing to see.

That moisture pattern is just sitting and cooking. I think we're going to see cells develop into the night. Everything's ripe for all of us to get a good rain ... even Gee.

Hope you are right, down in Tempe I am just watching everyone around me get hit. My parents live less than 5 min away over in Ahwatukee and its been pouring there for over 15 min.

Unbelievable rainstorm we had today in Tucson. We had two inches of rain in about an hour and the wind was blowing the rain sideways at times. Some of the streets were closed due to flooding. These past 4-5 days have been excellent if you like the monsoons.

Well that was depressing

Check out the moisture coming up over San Carlos. That's going to fuel us for tonight, I think. This stuff is just playing sit and spin right now, waiting for direction.

Tropical Storm of Dailia of Mexican West Coast and a bunch of activity in the Gulf. Maybe some additional moisture? We'll see.

Got over an inch of rain here in Surprise. Thanks for leaving town O!

I told y'all.
Enjoy it for the rest of the week.
I'll be home Saturday and it will be over, until I leave again mid August.

Gee,
I'm glad the El Mirage curse has been broken.

Yeah, what about the Avondale/Tolleson curse? We're still sittin' dry over here. NOTHING yet this season... :(

Some pictures from yesterday's storm.

Here is a picture of a person who will be fined because of the "Stupid Law."
