So I keep seeing '90% chance of rain Sunday' but I am not seeing anything saying how much, or when to expect it, etc. Even my usual weather sites are being coy. Anyone know anything more?

RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN...WITH A HALF INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF POSSIBLE AT LOWER ELEVATIONS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA.

Yeah -- just found it. Thx

Those are pretty cool!

It's amazing to see warnings on TV tonight for tomorrow, saying there is a flash flood watch and warner for the Greater Phoenix area...

It's rare to see that happen so far in advance.

Its for the all the out of towners in for the SuperBowl.. They would have no idea about what happens round here in the event of a major down pour.. Even though most ********* around here get stuck in a mess, add all the out of towners and it doubles and triples..

Moving at 40-60 knots. The serious stuff is only now approaching Yuma, so it'll be 4-6 AM -- you could go vacuum leaves if you're really quick about it.

Been up since 6:30am and it looked like it had been raining for quite a while by then. Very nice, hard, steady rain since then! Man I love this weather on a Sunday morning!!!

Was up most of the night (sick kid) and it's been raining here most of the night, and still is right now.

Love it!! :)

There was a prolonged sort of dull roar a few minutes ago, and my nervous-nellie dog leaped up and started snorting at nothing, so I went to one of the weather sites out of curiousity -- there are actually one or two 'Tornado vortex signatures' out there a little to the NE of us. That's not what she heard, I'm sure, but I thought that was interesting. Looks like more rain coming before it tapers off, too.

So at 4:30, about 1.6 inches in northern Scottsdale.

Just got back in from a Paint Ball party for my son... Driving home was very, very dangerous. I-17, the 101 and Scottsdale Rd are seriously flooded!
Checked in with my neighbor and he's reporting 1.67 inches thus far. Looks like more actually so I was surprised by that number. But man is '08 off to a solid start regarding precip!

Today has been utterly fantastic...I just live for days like this.

We got up, sat at Paradise Bakery at a window booth, had a nice breakfast, watched the rain, went shopping at Home Depot, had the back door open with the rain, watched the Suns game...

Man, was a great day :)

Just a hair over 2.25" at my place -- near Scottsdale Rd and Dynamite -- and just started to pick up again.

11:30 PM, 2.75" --radar suggests that's about it.

Tell me about it. Linda told me a couple of days ago that she couldn't wait for the summer. (for different reasons than the weather) The hot weather was the first thing that came to my mind. Ugh.
