I wanna put it out there now. We should trade a late round pick to the Bucs for the right to bring Jake back home.

No chance. Why waste a pick for a possibly temporary back up quarterback who will then be a third string QB? There's people out there. See the other threads.

Who else is there that you would rather see? I guess I could go for Brunell or Walter but aside from them who else is there? We have to bring someone in, that isn't negotiable. It is just a matter of who. Maybe that guy who was the starter for the Raiders when the 06 season began.

Brunell or Walter are really it...I don't want a #2 QB who could possibly have to play for us, be someone who couldn't make an NFL roster this year.

I seriously doubt Plummer wants to play for anyone...much less be a back-up in AZ.

My Plummer chapter is closed.

I think Todd Bouman is out there. Added plus is he could take over holding duties for Warner. Also, where is Aaron Brooks? He looked awful with the Raiders but he was doomed to failure with that team, just like Andrew Walter.

I think that Whiz will look for someone that after a few weeks of learning the offense, Whiz could throw him in there as a change of pace to Warner. Whiz really likes keeping the D guessing. If that's the case, we would want to bring in a seasoned vet, maybe like Brunell, who is intelligent & crafty, & could learn this offense quickly. If we don't bring in a seasoned vet, then it will probably be Boyd, only because he has some knowledge of the offense.

If he was just the holder on kicks and stuff I'd be fine but the guy hasn't been in an NFL camp in months and we don't run an offense anything like the one he had success with Denver in, so I'm not sure he's a logical choice.

This would be a Tommy Maddox kind of situation. As opposed to the non-Tommy Maddox situation, which is when you waste a 1st round pick on a punk kid QB (in spite of a desperate need to improve your defense and running game) because you're not best friends with the first-ballot HOF QB already on your team. But, if you need a guy who just dominated the beer leagues to come in and embarrass seasoned professionals by throwing for 300+ yards after literally walking in the door off the reject bus, Tommy's your man.

Barr is the holder.

I would get Jake..... That's IF he would come back for us. But it would be a 7th rounder. Maybe a 6th.

Can we just delete this thread? I think we would all feel smarter if we didn’t have to read nonsense like this.

I would take Plummer as Warners backup. I have good memories of the playoff run lead by Jake. To bad management let the team blow up.
