You can watch it live on the Suns website I am sure and ESPN will be covering the event live as well.

"It was 15 years ago today that you broke down the backboard..."

Shaq: It was yesterday, young man. Get your facts straight.

Rather he brings a title or not, you guys are getting one hell of a classy player, and one of the real "good guys" in the NBA.

Yeah, I'm not a Suns fan, but it's hard to make myself root against Shaq. He said all the right things today, and seems to be genuinely bringing the right attitude into Phoenix with him. This could end up being a great deal for the Suns, only time will tell.

No one can deny though, you guys just got one of the best ever. Congrats.

Thanks about telling me about ESPN, the webcam wasn't working and Sports Center showed the entire conference.

If he delivers ONE championship, I don't care if he sits on the bench the rest of his tenure and eats popcorn!

yeah we felt the same way here in Miami when we first got Shaq :p

that will fade away when you get swept out of the 1st round and then go 9-37 and start to worry about your future (Wade/Amare Stoudemire)

I believe the Suns have the best franchise record for any team never to win a title. If the Suns pull off a title this year I'd be more than happy to go 9-37 next year. Of course, this team as it's built has much more talent surrounding Shaq than the heat did so I don't anticipate that happening.

I think Wade should just jump ship to Phoenix in 2 years when Shaq and Nash's contracts are up. :)

I understand what you're saying though. I think there maybe dark times ahead for this team.

This was a great move by Kerr. It may not pay off with a championship but the Suns certainly wouldn't have won one without this move. The best part about it is now most the of the Suns big contracts will all expire the same year making a quick rebuild much easier. If the Suns could somehow turn Diaw + Atl pick into Mike Miller(3rd team would need to be involoved because I don't see the Grizz wanting Diaw) who's contract also expires the same time as Shaq's, Bell's and Nash's it would be all the better(even though I still hold out hope for Diaw).

hopefully the suns can go 9-37 during a year when they own the rights to their pick.

Problem with that thinking is that we will have cap room in 2 years and the Heat dont/didnt. We also have more young players to build around like Amare/Barbosa/Diaw(lol)/Strawberry/Atlantas 1st round pick.

The Suns imploding next year would be the best time to do it since the '09 pick is the only pick of theirs they'll get for awhile.

shaq's decline won't be felt as much now than the heat did. suns, having allstar/former allstar teammates in hill nash and amare, is a good team with or wthout shaq, whereas in miami, there's wade and... there's wade. don't compare this team to the heat, it's different...

Shaq is going to bring fun back into that locker room. He is very personable and based on the press conference, from a chemistry standpoint Shaq is going to improve the locker room chemistry for sure.

That was a freaking hilarious press conference too.
