They overglorify everything the Rockies do...even their errors. And anytime the Dbacks make a mistake they rule it off as the Rockies being the best team in the MLB.
Of course. However, the art of trying to sound biased but not completely homer is a lost art and a difficult line to learn. You don't want to sound totally fan boyish, but.. well.. you get the drift.
As for my original fact, the Expos actually drew very well, and were in baseball's top 10 attendancewise, almost on a yearly basis. However, 1994 came along, and that not only ruined Montreal's chances at a World Series, but wrecked the Expo franchise to the point where the organization as a whole STILL has yet to recover, even after leaving Canada for Washington. I ponder what would have happened if the strike of 94 hadn't have happened and had the Expos went on to win the World Series, and not had their team dismantled. I honestly do believe baseball would still be in Montreal to this day.
Now granted, bad ownership is bad ownership, and the two nimbleminded imbecils who controlled the franchise in it's dying years put the finishing touches on the death of the Expos, but the strike and pending destruction of the team got the ball rolling.
