Yeah sorry to get off topic but this kind of thing interests me. I think its interesting when and why people are fans of teams. It's hard being a Coyotes fan too but they will always be my favorite team as long as they are in Phoenix. I agree that it's tough being a fan of a team during hard times but that is the difference between a true fan and a bandwagoner/fair weather fan.It's hard being a fan of a crappy team, ask any Cardinals fan on here. But at least you should be happy not to be a bandwagoner. We'll be better again someday.

The biggest thing that annoys me is that they play in a stupid stadium. The stadium itself is nice but when you have to put your game balls in a humidor to have a chance to win, that's just dumb to me. I don't like the idea of baseball at mile high altitude.

Who drew more fans in the 80s? The Expos or Yankees?
Here's a hint, it's not the Yankees.
My point is this-- teams go through peaks and valleys (no pun intended) when it goes to attendance. And Phoenix, even WITH the Suns, are traditionally a trendy city when it comes to fans. Yes, they have their diehards, but look at the Cardinals-- last year, you could walk up to the ticket office at Sun Devil, get front row tickets with ease an hour before game time. Now, with the new stadium, James and Leinart, the team had a WAITING LIST. Go figure.
