"he doesn't owe us crap. It's his career and his life" gets a yell from me when I'm suffering the contemplation of having Manning or all of the above of the none of the above lol

You heard they re-signed the Hologram to guard his blind side.

Interesting you say that. I live in Knoxville area...And they obviously are talking about Manning. A few reporters are saying this is alot like his college recruitment. He specifically said...All the schools(teams) that are talking are the schools he didn't go to. He said everyone in the world thought Ole Miss was a slam dunk....and they were shouting in the streets..Peyton is coming...and Tennessee came out of his mouth and everyone said..huh? wow. Let's hope he is doing the same thing. Because you are right. Denver is talking, Tennesse is talking...But Arizona is being as quiet as a mouse. Lets hope he doesn't have Kush-Lash!

He'll either surf or ski -- let's get the man a surf board!!! Oh wait...

Denver sportscaster, during his segment, turned around to a big screen with Peyton's head on it, and yelled, "Make up your mind already!"

They are cracking!

It's funny that Manning is actually being blamed in all this. All I've seen is him entering and leaving buildings and getting on planes. It's not like he's actually said a single word since he left the Colts. Not one word. It's everyone else going insane.

I said on Sunday or Monday I believe, signing a dude like Manning is not for the faint of heart. Just be glad we're involved.

John Lennon once said, "The more real I get, the more unreal everyone else gets." Peyton has to feel the same way: all he does is walk from one building to the next and people go bat-sh*t insane.

I think PM is fighting a battle between his head and his heart, just like most of us would. His heart is probably telling him to sign with TN or Denver, but his head is telling him AZ would be his best opportunity. I will be curious to see which one he follows.

Adam Scheftner on NFL Sirius Satellite radio saying the same thing. The fact that the Manning camp has not ruled the Cardinals out yet - like they easily have done with other teams- means the Cardinals are still a very strong contender. And a caller made a good point by saying its possible the Cardinals Plan B is keeping Kolb, still signing Manning and then trading Kolb.

Just read on Msn that Manning's camp has informed Miami that they are no longer being considered.

I still think there's a slim chance that the Cards could secure an informal agreement from the Mannings to defer all or most of any Year One guaranteed compensation to later in any agreed-to contract (where the deferred income would actually be a tax-benefit to Peyton). They could then pay Kolb the $7-mil and still possibly recoup all or part of it as part of any future trade terms. This would remove the deadline time-pressure and give everyone more time to work thru the process.

(Unlikely, but we can always dream).

adbrandt: Flynn just got leverage. RT @SportsCenterThe @MiamiDolphins have been informed Peyton Manning will not sign with them [via Twitter]

Sliver of hope remaining because we have not been explicitly told we are out. Ugh.

Schefter says many NFL execs still think #Titans are favorite for Manning. #Broncos in hunt, #Dolphins out, #Cardinals "outside looking in."

Clay Travis ‏ @ClayTravisBGID
Titans remain leader. Source says Manning has deep respect for Elway and agreed to meet them today. Broncos know they are second.

I know some don't take this site seriously but ...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...m_medium=referral&utm_campaign=br_azcardinals

Manning is aware of the Cardinals' situation with Kolb and plans to notify them this morning about whether they are in or out. One NFL source says the Cardinals are out.

Both of these teams have benefits and drawbacks, but neither of their rosters, front offices or coaching situations are as shaky as Arizona’s are.

They lost me with this quote.

Yeah, me too. We have our faults as an organization, but our head coach has been with our team the longest, our owner has been around forever, and our roster is as talented as either of those other teams. This was a cop out statement for "we don't know why Arizona would be out and are not willing to do research into it."

If we were 3rd choice, PM would have called the Cards when he called Miami, knowing our deadline and Kolb is our starter. But he didnt!
We are a at the top!

We don't know what happened and we may not never know.
Were we too soft or aggressive? Did we look too desperate and called PM every hr like a phsyco gf scared of being dumped? Was getting Roberts to the meeting as indication of being WR #2? Did we make promises in the FA that we couldn't do?
It's easy to blame the FO if we don't get PM (it's a fact to be in few hrs) but till we know, I'll just give them the benefit of doubt that they did their best and it's all PM to decide on his own.

Let's get ready for Brees drama next year if he stays unsigned :)

I think the "he wants to stay in the AFC" angle turned out to be really important. The reason why he gave us a good look was his friendship with Whis and Fitz.

I totally agree with you. We were the only team in the NFC that he interviewed.

Maybe the real truth is....Our deadline is not Mannings deadline.
He still would like to play for us but is not finished with his process.
At 4pm EST the Cardinals have a decision to make.

I'm sure there has been, or will be, contact between Manning & the Cardinals. If we are still "in it" and he says he wants more time, I say we release Kolb & continue our pursuit of Manning. Give him the time he needs and go from there. Doubt Kolb will get snapped up quickly, so we could sign him back to something more in line with his skill set (cheaper, in other words)....
