the NFC is down
Slightly disagree here. I believe Detroit & Philly are way too top heavy in order for us to compete seriously this year. Green Bay is slightly under them as well. As much as the defense been surprisingly playing good, we still lack some pieces in the front 4. I still think we’re a good draft away from competing with those guys.

That's fair - we played Detroit close, but I don't think anyone is going to argue that we're at the same talent level as the Lions or Eagles.

Looking ahead to next year we have the AFC South and the NFC South. Arguably the two worst divisions in either conference compared to the NFC North and AFC East this year so our schedule should be much easier. With the right investments and hopefully further growth from some of the young players anything less than a playoff berth and being competitive with the Eagles/Lions will be a disappointment. If we make the playoffs this year the winner of our division is prob the 3 seed and would play the Packers. Hard to see us winning that game but it would be good for the young guys to understand the intensity that comes with a playoff game.

I like this and will play.

We have a top 14 NFL QB.

Our 2023 draft class is hitting.

Our defense is overperforming by a lot which gives credit to Gannon, Rallis and the rest of the defensive staff.

McBride looks like a star.

We are a physical team.

We have a pretty decent offensive line.

All you have to do is look back one year. Then, look back two years.

We are a hell of a lot better off now. Playoffs or no playoffs. People got too excited at 6-4. We are who we are. A good team that is on the rise. Not there yet.

Oh, and McBride is a star. Only Brock Bowers has more catches and more yards at TE and he has played one more game than McBride.

Is there not some way he and Kyler can work the short out into the endzone?

We're ahead of where I thought we would be. Lots of young talent that still has lots of room to grow. Coaching staff is good and still growing.

We're 6-6 and a winning record and the division are in play and in our own hands.

I'd take all this before the season, still sucked to lose that one yesterday though.

I’m super optimistic about how this defense is playing as a collective. Nobody could have ever thought or expected this. Especially with the lack of talent across the DL. I’m optimistic to see what it can turn into with this staff if Monti actually gets some highly rated talent added into the mix.
My take is we are close and the division is weak plus we have a ton of cap space…never believed we would make the playoffs this year but next year
