The Raiders will make him the league's only player/coach.

Isn't it amazing that Edgerrin James and Larry Johnson are both jobless? I mean, I never thought either of them would sink so low. Not that they could play forever but within the course of each of their careers I wouldn't have guessed they would be unemployed.

Wouldn't be suprised if Haley called upon Edge on a year contract..
Good guess on paper but it may be too late for KC this year. They picked up Chambers so maybe they want to still play well but what would it take to get Edge to go to a losing team for a coach that he couldn't wait to get away from his system in Arizona?

Agreed.

As much as I like James, and what he did for the Cardinals. It was very stupid of him to force his way out of AZ.

If he could have swallowed his pride, he could be playing here instead of Jason Wight.

That being said I am happy to have Wright, and would rather have Jason Wright then Edge.

His loss.

WOW!!!!

What an ass!

I hope he somehow loses all his money. Coming from a racist, that has been charged with multiple battering charges that is ridiculous.

That guys is scum, I hope he doesn't come anywhere near the Cardinals.

From SI.com, Peter King Tuesday Morning QB.

But one of the hosts, Chris Hamblin, set me straight. Johnson's biggest problem was that he'd taken a slap at Chiefs fans, saying when this all blew over, they'd go back to their $5-an-hour jobs, and he'd go back to "cakin' it,'' and the callers were pasting Johnson for days for his backhanded slap. I guess "cakin' it'' must mean taking it easy and earning $5.5 million for being a pretty good running back three years ago.

That's the biggest part of why Johnson, who used to be the Chiefs' best player, got fired by the team Monday. If the fans are flooding the talk shows and saying they're not going to buy tickets and will stop buying Chiefs merchandise, you can bet they were sending even angrier missives to the team offices.

I dont think that was a possibilty at all. James was due to make 5 million this year and we never would have given him that to be 3rd string. Besides, backup and 3rd string RBs are almost always expected to contribute via STs, which I have never seen Edge do. Wright is a PB STer and a great locker room presence. Edge is a future HOF runningback who just doesn't have it anymore IMO.

I guess, I should have added the fact we would tell him to take a pay cut.

LJ has some issues to work out mentally and physically. He does fit the profile of the N.E. patriots, but for every randy moss or corey dillon, they have a joey galloway, a fred taylor, and a junior seau. I don't know that LJ will have a major impact on their team. but I do think he could fit there and if there's a place that could straighten him out that would be it.
