You're right. Just want you want your kid to see. Geez.

Your assuming the tabliods are correct that he is sleeping with everything in site.

You are also assuming he is doing it ever since his son was born, when most of the rumors came from before his son was even born.

oooooh no, my dad dates women, what a bad example. What about Joe Namath? Tom Brady? SHAQ? If you could pile on HOT celebrity women you would too.

None of those guys are/were in a custody dispute. I doubt Leinart can have it both ways. Always in the tabloids for banging celebs AND getting more time with his son. I dunno. Maybe he'll get a judge who is a big fan of his.

I am just replying to Toro and his idea that Matt is a horrible role model because he sleeps around with the most saught after women in hollywood.

I know this to be fundamentally true: Athletes are not role models. Never have been, never will be. But some of us used to live in era when it was easier to pretend like athletes were also Boy Scouts.

im sick of people trying to make matt seem like a jerk. I met him a couple weeks after he was drafted, randomly at fox sports grill and he was the coolest guy. his friends were waiting on him and he still spent like 3 minutes talking to me. Coolest athlete i've ever met.

Just to be clear--I was not, in my argument, trying to make Matt sound like a jerk. I was just saying that wanting more than $6k a month was not completely unreasonable, given how much he makes. (Especially living in California).

Is this really a story? Leinart lives and works in Arizona, the child lives in Thousand Oaks. If the mother (or any mother under similar circumstances for that matter) expects the Dad to be around full-time in that sort of situation then she's delusional.

I dont agree with that. I know fathers who work out of town and come back every weekend. I know fathers that have forgone careers and moved to another state to be with their children. Not suggesting Matt should, but apparently he isnt around at all. Less we forget a child is involved here.

He claims to go home every weekend, and is fighting for more visitation. I'm guessing you didn't read the whole thread, or you just think he's lying?

6k a month? She needs to get over it, if she can't raise the kid on 6k a month then she needs to stop shopping for baby clothes at the Armani store. It seems like Matt wants to see the kid more and it's not him that's the problem, it's the girl.

Your using Namath as example to bolster your arguement? :biglaugh:

He has a responsibility to the child and her. I dont get it. So he is living on millions a year, she is spending 99% of the time with the child-feeding, changing, doctor visits, etc- and she should have to live on 72k a year? Come on...

I know, and if that is the case, great, but if she has custody then he should be made to pay child support based on numerous factors. And yes one of them is how much he makes yearly.

While I disagree that he has a financial obligation to HER, I do agree that the child should live as comfortable a life as Matt does, which includes the child's home. $72k a year in California isn't much.

I wasn't disputing how much he should be paying at all. Just that he does not seem to be a disinterested father.

SHE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE ON 72k??!??!!? This money isn't for her! It's for the kid, and YES, 72k is MORE than enough for a child. I'm sure the child is also covered under the NFL medical insurance. She spends the bulk of the time(not 99%) with the kid, yes. And if she is having trouble raising him on 72k then the money isn't going to the kid.

What do you think Child support pays for?

1. Housing
2. Clothes
3. Food
4. Medical expenses
5. Schooling
6. transportation
etc etc

72k is not enough to support the child in a lifestyle that the child would have with Matt making millions. That child deserves to have everything Matt has, and by extension so does the mother of their child.

Yeah I dont know that. And I am not syaing that he is disinterested. I was just commenting on why people think the child doesnt deserve everything Matt has??

Hopefully he is a good father who is there for his child!

From what I hear, she would have had everything Matt would has even if he never had it.. Apearently her family is rich or something, I could be wrong.. And, I wonder how much she is really taking care of their son if she is on the trojan basketball team and taking college courses..

I just think Matt is getting a raw deal here..

Not a good time for all of this to come up. He needs to be focused on the upcoming season.

If you want the child to have that lifestyle then why not just give Matt the custody he seeks?
