to be honest, at now if they are happy with him we should worry about the future of this organization

I think they'll leave the worrying to the nervous Nellie's and invest in what's needed to support a talented 21 year old.

We should do something along these lines. Trade down twice. I've been saying it, the possibilities are there. Trade twice to around ten or early teens. Get a boatload of picks and get a OT or WR we so desperately need.

We cant take another QB in the 1st? Are you people nuts? We have to start rebuilding this O line and receiving corp as well as LBers. How long to you want to be a crap team?
No way to trading that far down. A bunch of warm bodies isn't worth it.

Anyways, I'm not outright saying we should select another QB in the first, but had the Titans or Jaguars ended up with the #1 overall pick the year after drafting Locker/Gabbert respectively, Andrew Luck should have been very much a consideration. Now, I'm not calling Haskins Andrew Luck. But if our head coach isn't enamored with Rosen, and thinks Haskins has the tools to be a top 5 QB for years to come, that's a time to pull the trigger.

Now, things are complicated by still having Keim in the front office, but hey, we're all aware of that.

No, but he also hasn't done enough to completely dispel the thought. Again, jersey-owning fan, but pretty much all three of the other QBs showed bigger flashes down the stretch compared to Rosen. Now, Josh was in a ****** position with bad protection and questionable at best playcalling... so there's an excuse.

10 permutations of the O-line and only one, a rookie, playing the full season is not an 'excuse' it's one of many reasons.

You don’t trade down just to stockpile picks, that gets you Johnson and Pace instead of Suggs. You have to weigh the talent, you don’t give up on a potential all pro for guys to fill out the roster. The asking price should be enormous.

No, but getting maybe 2 firsts next year? 3 1st round picks? A couple seconds also. There is talent at the top end of this draft in positions of need. Plus having more picks in the coming years gives us a better chance of getting that kind of talent. To move back a few spots is worth it imo.

Is Bosa as good as people think? Is he better than Clowney coming out? Im not so sure. Is Hanskins better than Rosen. I dont think so. Those two guys have a bunch of talent on that team. More than Rosen ever had

how can u put both of them on display?
they split the snaps ?

I don't think you put both of them on display. The Cardinals should be able to figure it out in camp, preseason and practices. Eventually they will figure it out.

You honestly think they will get 3 1st round picks and a couple of seconds? You couldn’t even get that in Madden.

The fact that some guys aren’t having a debate about drafting a QB in the 1st round when we just drafted a 1st in the 1st round a year prior is just hilarious in a pathetic kind of way.

Since when has Ohio state produced a good NFL QB?

By this logic Joe Flacco and Big Ben cant be good in the NFL. Can’t go by the past, but Haskins is arguably the best QB to come out of OSU. He also might be the best QB Urban Meyer has ever coached.

I’ve been extremely critical of Rosen all season, but that doesn’t mean I think we should give up on him after one season. We should be using our draft position to add pieces. Not finding a replacement for a 21 year old QB 1 year into his career

Does Bosa need to be better than Clowney coming out to still be the best player in the draft class? The simple fact of the matter is that the guy is the consensus best player. There's really no one saying any different, at least prior to the confirmation that Haskins is coming out. An elite player at one of the premier positions in the NFL is going to win us more games than a half-decent starting OL and LB that happen to be nothing special.

I don't think it's even about being pathetic, I think it's being opportunistic. Looking at the numbers historically in the modern NFL alone, the odds of being successful as the 4th QB off the board are pretty slim.

The Panthers didn't stick with Jimmy Clausen, who was a 2nd rounder, as a reason to skip on Cam Newton.

Standing here on a Monday in January, I'm inclined to take Bosa and not look back. But it's worth considering while we're still getting an idea of who is going to run the offense.

Cards get - #2 pick , 1st rd 2020, 3rd rd pick
San Fran gets #1 pick

Cards get - #4 pick, #27?, 1st rd 2020
Oakland gets - #2 pick

Doesn't seem impossible. Unlikely yes. In this scenario you need Gruden to love Haskins and SF to love Bosa. I would do it. You still pick at #4. Two 1sts and two 3rds this year, plus three 1sts next year including our own pick

Giving a division rival the consensus best player in the draft at their biggest need, all to pick up a pick that will probably be in the 20s and a 3rd rounder would be such a Cardinals move.

I can just imagine Bosa blowing DJ Humphries or whoever off the ball for the next 10 years. Then next year we'll draft a RB from Grambling State to start at DE at pick #27.

See i think your wrong. Is kalil mack winning games? Is Clowney winning games? Both are at home and were beat by teams with superior offensive lines. Those are the teams you will see in the Superbowl. There's plenty of guys drafted later that are HOF players. More picks early in the draft increases the odds of getting those types of guys.

And yet I still don’t believe anyone is going to give the Cards the farm to select him. I’ll be shocked if we do indeed trade & get value.

If the Cardinals come out of the combine and private workouts convinced that Bosa (Williams or Oliver) is far and away the best player in this draft you take him and don’t look back. You start working the trade downs in round 2.

Agree, that would be the smart thing to do. Nice, to have lots of options.

I mean, answer of whether or not they're winning games is pretty clear... they are. Both teams were the 3rd seeds in their conference and were only one game back from having a bye.

Mack especially has had a transcendent effect on his team.

We're talking about an NFL where guys coming out of college have never put their hand in the dirt as a blocker, so there aren't can't-miss offensive linemen anymore. In an offseason where we might/probably will lose Markus Golden, too.

We're not that far removed from a year in which the pass rush of the Denver Broncos made the league's MVP look like a fool in the Super Bowl, right?

In a QB driven league, the bears gave up 2 3rds and a 4th to move up one spot. Haskins has better college numbers and a better arm than Trubisky. Since he’s the only QB worth a first, I could see a trade frenzy for him. Maybe not at 1, but at 2 or 3.

I guess Rosen shouldn't have been drafted by that logic either. Been 30 years since they put out a QB worth writing home about.

As I said not at #1.

Are you willing to trade down twice? I’m not
