The lying is amplified, with the crash and fatalities. If they had just been busted racing and lied about that, it would be a big deal, but not a career altering issue.

Sure, the fatalities aren't on him unless he hit the car though. It takes 2 to Tango.

But he left the scene. I assume he saw it happen and could have stopped to try help. Could have stayed and talked to the police. Could have come clean. That's all worse for me than the driving.

The Lions trade Harry suggested. You could conceivably get Myles Murphy at #6 (or Tyree Wilson for those into S&M) and Bresee at #18.

Possible legal issues/off field red flags = you can't take him top 10 IMO. If Carter slides a lot...then yes his talent outweighs those concerns at some point....but its like bottom half of round 1 for me.

Will Anderson it is. He is everything you want out of a defensive leader and edge prospect.
