The guy is a legit HOF candidate. Not many if any drafted this year will you be able to say that. A proven number 1 receiver versus an unproven draft pick. I said I would take that gamble that he keeps his head on straight, and I stand by it.

He CAN’T keep his head on straight. I live in Steeler land. Most diehard Steeler fans would give him away for nothing. The true HOF’er is Ben, not AB. We do not want that douchebag & I really don’t care whether he’s a 1st ballot guy. He’s 31 & gets injured easily. He really would never be the same guy in AZ. Keep your draft choices. Does the name Gary Clark ring a bell.

Vince you have admitted Pitt hate, so step back and think about a receiver that can take the top off a defense and can actually catch the ball.
I think Stout is right Mike. You can’t give up that high of a pick on a guy who doesn’t respect & value the “team concept” regardless of how great the guy is. It sets a bad town in the locker room with new players & a new staff.

The Cards have bottomed out & it’s going to be a big process rebuilding this roster & organization imo. Brown throws temper tantrums almost every game on the sidelines. He’s the new TO & Browns “all about me” attitude & we all saw how TO’s selfishness wore thin on every team after a few seasons.

Why?

He's a 'big puss' according to a few bright lights here.
So you’re saying Pat P couldn’t add more to his team & franchise by simply giving a little more effort & desire than he does at times? You’re saying he is doing everything he can to make the Arizona Cardinals a better team?

Screw Brown . Let’s steal Ramon Foster from them.

We don't have to steal him; he's a free agent.

I'm not surprised, fanboy always over values their own team. Many here think PP21 would fetch 2 numbers 1s.

Like I said, this wasn't coming from fanboys, but from highly respected sports figures about town. Stan Savran is a fricking legend around here, and should know better, but he came up with the worst of them. Just figuring Arizona could be taken for suckers, I guess.

Um, no. I live IN Pittsburgh, and that's certainly nowhere near the case. Up until this latest incident, there were still diehard AB apologists all over the place. Talent trumps trouble, for a lot of people. His defenders have dried up this time, but even the fans calling for his trade wouldn't give him away for nothing. That's crazy talk. They want to trade him for the farm, which is also crazy talk.

Well, without having the isolation camera you evidently have access to, I'll go with what I see and answer that I'm happy with a guy putting together a HOF career.

All I'm saying is pick 33 is a gamble, AB is a gamble, but not on talent. It is just a money thing, and it's not my money, so I have no problem gambling with it.

AB now is a cancer. He is exact the opposite of Fitzgerald, an me over the team guy, a guy that cries even if the team wins but he doesn't get the ball enough time.

I get it, but their fandom is clouding their judgement, is what I'm saying. Maybe "fanboy" was a bad choice of words.

Lol

That’s a fabulous way to dodge the question

I guess I along with others, including my woman who’s not even a Cards fan needs their eyes examined. Lol

I hear ya, but that’s the issue. Keim & Michael generally don’t gamble their $$$ on trouble players.

So you were unhappy with Boldin?
You see Quan ended up playing out his career too after squabbles with coaches & ownership too?

Not saying it’s right or wrong, some teams accept or don’t accept those issues. This franchise generally doesn’t

I'm not in favour of bringing him in.

I think AB would be a bad fit right now, rookie QB, new (maybe rookie) HC, new staff...GM on the hot seat...

I also think it unfair to put Fitz in a position to have to deal with an ego while he should be riding off into the sunset. (assuming we are lucky enough for him to return)...

In all honesty can you say he gives maximum effort on punt returns?

I remember useless second effort by the Badger that blew out his knee.

Catch the ball, if there's an opening go, and if not make a business decision.

Covering, like a blanket, is his REAL job.

Well, I’m talking about AFTER this last incident. It’s a case of addition by subtraction. Sure, their fans may want to screw over someone in the process of getting rid of him. But bottom line, fans want him gone. We should not oblige.

If that’s the case, leave the return responsibilities to someone that thinks it’s his REAL job. You can trot anyone out there to fair catch it or run out of bounds before contact.
