One thing about Ken Whizenhunt, he knows how to string loses together.

Titans are currently mired in an 8 game losing streak, and just got beat by the Jets. I believe he had 6,7, and 8 game losing streaks here in AZ.

Arians has enough injured players to almost field a football team itself, and has won more football games than any other team in Arizona history, and without Kurt Warner.

Just sayin'

Whiz may HAVE BEEN the best coach in AZ history, but I think that torch has been past.

This is the last topic I will start about Whiz, he has his new job, new place.

Yea, crazy.

My question is, what about Bowles? He's the one that is keeping the cards alive here. Does BA have anything to do with what Bowles schemes each and every game? I know BA is praised but Bowles calls the plays on D. With out this D, this team would be nowhere near where they are today. Am I wrong to think that most of the praises are going in the wrong direction?

I think its fair to wonder if Whis is the right coach for a young QB

I'd agree that Bowles is a huge factor in BA'S success here. That speaks to his ability to attract great assistants though. Whiz attracts Russ Grimm. /case rested.

I don't disagree that Bowles has a huge impact, however, remember all of those Horton threads and posts when Whiz was here...Nobody thought Horton could be replaced and that has been proven false. Everyone is replaceable, as long as the person at the top knows what they are doing when selecting.

Keim put the talent on this team in just two years. So the subtraction of Graves alone has improved this franchise leaps n bounds.

And with the history of this franchise I wouldn't call it passing the torch. More like a match.

And yes Arians has been amazing. The only negative I see is his offense has not been that great.

Horton's defense was about/almost as good as Bowles (statistically) during some of those losing streaks. A good coordinator doesn't make a winning team on their own.

Now Horton's defense is one of the worst in the league. A good coordinator still needs good players.

He had good players while he was here, the point being that BA is winning games with Bowles and a host of other things going on that he controls, not just having Bowles. Whiz has his choice of coordinators more than once, Horton was the best, but he still had his losing streaks - and his roster wasn't as bad as the Titans.

So BA is a great head coach, and/or Whiz is just a mediocre head coach. I believe both, I think Whiz's ceiling is being as good as Jeff Fisher. Decent coach, but I don't miss him, I actually watch the game all the way through nowadays, even if we are losing.

That would be an insult to Jeff Fisher. He is one of the best coaches in the league IMO.

:biglaugh:

If by "best" you mean overrated I would agree. He's the worst coach in his own division.

Whisenhunt has 4 playoff wins in 6 tries....Fisher 5 in 11 tries.

Uh.. 9 in a row going into the Detroit home game on 12/16/12... it's commemorated on my headgear for that day..

How far we've come in 2 years! It's incredible. Another "SHOCK THE WORLD" epic matchup coming up on Sunday. Just 2 years after FULL-on meltdown. Spectacular!

Correction, Warner has 4 playoff wins in 6 tries with the Cardinals.

Record book will show Whisenhunt is 4-2 in the playoffs...I am not a Whisenhunt fan my point is to say Fisher is one of the best in the league is ridiculous. Fisher has exactly 1 more playoff win in a much longer career.

Whisenhunt can't develop a QB to save his life and that will continue to be his downfall.

Ken Whisenhunt's record for the last 26 games: 3-23. Just let that sink in.

I'm so mad the "Whisenhunt wins first game, many more to come" thread was locked.

That thread was just pure comedy.
It was the gift that would have kept on giving. :D

would you like to make a bet who wins more playoff games when they are both retired?
