I read an article yesterday (and can't seem to find it now), about the possibility of him being let go by the Steelers......anyone see that happening? Who would you think could replace him? Where would he go?

If they do, I'll be very impressed. That takes a giant set of brass balls to release a franchise QB for off-the-field image issues (which, at this point, is all he has--he's not been found guilty of anything).

Not unless he is found guilty and headed to jail. Then he would be released most likely. Doesn't matter though he will either be found innocent or this will play out like the Kobe situation did and it will be settled in the civil courts with no criminal charges. That's how these things tend to go with millionaire athletes and their fancy lawyers.

Yup, plus he just hired a high profile P.I. and before we know it, we will know everything this girl ever did, including the time she was 2 and flashed her panties while walking through the mall.

I read an article on FSN, forgot the columnist, he said that this would have some serious ramifications if Big Ben does not get any kind of punishment from Goddell because he is white and Vick did serious time and was indefinitely suspended for his dog fighting operation. To me Roethlisberger is the biggest moron in the world. He nearly dies in a motorcycle accident which was his own fault, gets charged not once but twice for sexual assault and I hear he is one of the biggest jerks you'll ever meet. All that talent without any brain.

They would release him if he were convicted of rape or molestation. Conviction being the key word.

Wonder if teams like the Niners or the Bills would be interested?

I see no team in the NFL signing a convicted sex offender. Ben has not been convicted of anything. If he is then he is out of the NFL or any team signing him after he gets out of jail would have all the women activist of the nation standing in front of the stadium.

Sportznutt you have some of the weirdest thread topics out.

If Big Ben was falling out of favor (and believe me it wouldn't happen unless they don't make the playoffs next year and/or another incident comes up) they would probably trade him instead of releasing him, don't ya think?

Principle and stupid business decisions don't go hand in hand in the NFL.

Just trying to generate conversation in the offseason.

I can't see him going anywhere unless there's a conviction.

Who would you think could replace him?

Big Ben just hired one of the most powerful defense attorneys in the east coast. I doubt he gets anything worse than a minor infraction. Ed Garland was able to take a murder rap against Ray Lewis and turn it into obstruction of justice. I can only imagine what he's going to do to this woman. Im sure he'll paint her as some slutty chick just trying to get money and/or attention.

They said when Johnny Cochran was still alive: "you don't hire him unless you're guilty" Im sure Big Ben did something to this girl, but he will get a slap on the wrist
