Just a random thought gang. I'm really enjoying seeing AI's face during the Nuggets nice little streak of ineptitude. My championship wishes for him lasted all of about a week.

Did anyone see Shaun Livingston's injury tonight? That was the worst injury that I think I have ever seen in a bball game. Can't help but feel really bad for the guy.

That was sick. It's not like he did anything risky. He just came down at a weird angle. Did you see the close up after he was holding his knee? NO KNEE CAP. YIKES.

His career could be done. I hope all goes well.

I would be surprised if he ever plays in the NBA again.

The reason I am holding out hope for the guy because my brother in law did the same thing. He played basketball and was in track and field. He dislocated his knee cap during the long jump. It took him a full year of rehab. He quit T&F played his Junior year of BB but wasn't himself again until his Senior year.

So even IF he comes back, I doubt he could be close to himself for about 2 years.

Sounds like the Spurs got some home cookin' tonight -- Kidd and the Nets coach both ejected. But check out this picture of Ginobili, it looks like something out of a horror movie:

Edit: never mind, they axed the picture already.

That's the diference man, Dallas is just playing against themselves. . other than teams like the Sun, Spurs, and Pissy-dons, the Mavs just play against themselves, working on the system, working on perfection, working on execution on both ends. . . this streak has been awesome. And no, I don't think they've peeked at all.

Like I said, they played themselves. Opponent was over matched, so instead of playing down to their level, they just worked on executing the system as well as they could. That's why you saw such a dominant performance.

I would argue teams like the Spurs and the Suns also play against themselves. I think the Spurs have been on cruise control only to start peaking at the right time (going into the playoffs). Those teams at times choose to turn it on when they need to. They are there own worst enemies. The Mavs on the other hand don't seem to have an off switch this regular season.

I am sure that Dallas would handle GS in a series, but it would be interesting. GS seems to have their number, just like Dallas seems to have ours - until Wednesday, that is. ;)

The Clips, Kings, Hornets, & Wolves all have less losses than they do. And the Blazers are tied in the loss column. . . . so a lot would have to happen for the Warriors to make the playoffs.

Often all it takes is a quality win to turn things around. Case and point. the T-puppies were not playing so well until they beat the Suns. Since then they have been playing decent basketball.

What T-Pups team have you been watching?

But your point is taken. The 1999 New York Knicks is a very good example as well.
