Friggin' Rasheed Wallace!

He hit a half-court 3 to FORCE OVERTIME and the Pistons went on to beat the Nuggets. The play was pretty unbelievable. You have to see it to believe it. I'm sure it will be on just about every sports site by the end of the night.

Wasn't it the Nuggets who beat the Suns early last season on a floor-length inbounds pass with only a second left? Maybe this is payback for them. Now we just need the Suns to beat the Pistons on a miracle, and it will be all even.

Toronto's Jorge Garbajosa had his leg broken in tonight's game. I haven't found a video online yet, but saw it on a Fox Sports Net Highlight. The Raptors had just lost Bargnani for the rest of the season after he had an appendectomy this past week.

Wow, wanna see bad officiating? If you get a chance to see the last few seconds of the Clipper/Rockets game, Yao Ming fouls Cuttino Mobley about 6 inches outside the 3-point line. Should be 3 shots, right? Wrong, not according to Steve Javy, who wasn't looking at his feet, but was still about 3 feet away from the play. It cost the Clippers the game. And it happened with only 2.8 seconds remaining. And Javy said they can't review it because Mobley didn't make the shot.

Way to go, NBA.

Yep, it was a bad call alright, but Mobley wouldn't have made the free throws anyway (he missed both of the two he did shoot). It would have ended the same way, with him trying to miss the last one intentionally and Yao grabbing the rebound.

Well, 1) You don't know he would have missed them, and 2) He missed the second one on purpose.

I was under the impression they could review the play to determine if it was 2 or 3 FT's. That was a horrendous call if you're a Clippers fan.

They can only review a made basket to make sure it was shot before the clock expired. That's it.

Too much of a good thing... Charlotte beat Atlanta tonight so they're now a half game ahead of them. That leaves only three teams below Atlanta - Milwaukee, Boston and Memphis - and Milwaukee isn't very far behind with 25 wins vs. 27 for Atlanta. If the Hawks 'run the table' the Bucks are very likely to pass them...

I wouldn't worry about it. There's no way in hell the Suns are catching the Mavericks. You may begin your celebration now.

The last time Dallas planned a parade before the deal was finalized Miami stormed the court and sent them home without the trophy.

But alas the Suns will not catch the Mavs and now the Spurs stand a very good shot at passing the Suns.

Q-Rich Has Back Surgery
30th March, 2007 - 1:27 pm
New York Post -
Knicks' swingman Quentin Richardson traveled to Miami to see a specialist who immediately performed an operation to repair a ruptured disk in his back.

Richardson will miss the rest of the season but the injury is not considered career-threatening. He is expected to be healthy by the start of the 2007-2008 season.

"It's season-ending but not career-ending," coach Isiah Thomas told the media.

Wow...amazing end of regulation in the Toronto-Washington game. Butler sank two FTs to put the Wiz up by 3 with three seconds left and no timeouts for the Raptors. They threw a long inbound pass that was intercepted by Michael Ruffin of the Wizards, who threw it up in the air in celebration of the victory....however, he didn't throw it high enough and there was just under a second left when it came down in the hands of Morris Peterson, who turned and got off a shot as the clock expired from well behind the arc that went in and tied the game. Replay showed 0.2 seconds on the clock when it left his hands. Simply amazing! Ruffin just should have held onto the ball, at worst he would have been fouled.

Holy moly that was amazing. For those of you interested, you can watch a clip of the ending on the ESPN recap video.

The below is from the recap of the Pacers Spurs game.

Duncan spent much of the game complaining to the officials. He received a technical foul in the third quarter, and was still talking after the game.
"They were allowed to be very physical and got away with a lot of stuff," he said. "They used it to their advantage."

Tim Duncan... you are an idiot.

Probably just one of those days when The Stare didn't work and nobody told the refs Timmy is the only one allowed to get away with "a lot of stuff."

I dont see why Players take their time to complain about officiating it doesnt change anything.

yesterday's game dirk wanted a foul when he landed on shawn's foot. He landed on shawn foot. That is not a foul. thats called incidental contact dirk learn the rules instead on whinning.

Duncan should get it to his head that in the playoffs they are goign to get physical and he should get use to it.

This reminds me of the Spurs satire article about the Spurs blaming their loss on the unbiased officiating.

Nuggs beat Mavs. And I think I'd rather play Lakers than the Nuggs in the first round.
