No, because if I had photoshopped it, I would have had Kurt and London holding a beer bong.

:)

JTS

(and yes, I know it's embarrasing that I know that the girl in the picture's character's name is London Tipton)

LOL Had no idea you were such a big Zack and Cody fan JTS.

Someone needs to make that photoshop happen by the way.

He is old and finished. He is not the first nor the last to see father time rear its ugly head. Just hope Whiz and his hypocritical "the best players play" mantra doesn't waste half the season. Whiz plays his boys. Warner is his boy, along with Hightower. Wells better start next week. We will see Leinart soon. Warner is finished.

Your animosity towards Whiz amazes me.

Wells doesn't even know the playbook yet he should start next week?? Hightower was the most productive player on offense last week but that must only be because he's Whiz's "boy."

Warner is "done" after one game? Talk about the sky falling...

Last time I checked, this is the NFL and coaches play their best players or else they'll get fired in a nanosecond. This isn't pop warner where the coaches play players based on politics.

Get over it

But is it 'Pop' Warner??

I dunno...there's a joke in there somewhere; I'm sure of it.

He's so old now, it's more like Grandpop Warner

 (terrible, I know...and I've never heard anyone use the term "Grandpop"..."grandpa", of course, "grandpappy", sometimes, but never "grandpop"

We are all hitting on KW, but later this year I'm praying all this vitriole will be forgotten and KW will have our Offense humming like a Ferrari..

He certainly looks ridiculous but he has 7 kids and it was a Disney show...Sweet Life on Deck? I assume that's why he did it and I can give a guy a pass...not props, but at least a pass if he was doing it for his kids.

:BIM: Suite Life (The first show took place at the hotel where the boys lived)

Sadly, the main reason I figured this was a photoshop is that my kids love that show and I still cant believe my son hasn't told me of this episode yet (he knows who Kurt is).

I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he dropped the ball.

4/5, surprisingly original (not that you're aren't typically original, just that I have yet to see anyone use that on Kurt yet)

Wow....just wow. Amazed at the overreaction. I could probably find similar posts after the Jets game last year about wanting to bench Kurt(you know, the year we went to the Superbowl) but I'm too tired and it's time to go to bed.

I'll just say this. The defense and special teams were my main concerns going into this year and last week gave me a good feeling about both.

We know what we have in this offense. It looked like crap last week, but it was one week.

If the D and ST's keep it up, we'll be more than ok. I'm far from a Warnerphile but I'll give him more than one game before I say he's completely washed up.

I blame last week more on Whiz not recognizing that he may as well have just put a cardboard cutout of Levi Brown out there and not putting a TE over there to help him block than on Kurt.

There has been a lot of discussion about Haley's offense vs. Whisenhunt's offense. Clue: It's the same offensive scheme!

Granted, the two may call the game differently, but the playbook is basically the same one.

What does that mean exactly? I could own a sports car and so could some blue hair. I guarantee the use of it would be completely different. I would use the engine to its full capacity while the blue hair would probably never get out of first gear.

So just because it's the same playbook doesn't mean much. If Whiz doesn't use the full playbook or call plays the right way it doesn't mean a thing to have the same playbook. There are a tons of examples in the NFL of teams that kept the playbook after coaching changes with horrible results.

The point is that you and other posters have implied that the Cardinals are running a different offensive scheme than last year, that Whisenhut's offense is too conservative, that what worked in Pittsburgh won't work here, that Haley's leaving is the cause, etc.

They ran 44 pass plays and only 20 rushing plays (less actually because two "rushes" were attributed to Warner, so they were actually pass plays, also). And it is not as though Hightower was the primary reciever on all those dump off receptions.

It's the same offense that they ran all last year. Except last week the offense played like crap. Had they executed the plays that were called we would all be smiling about beating SF.

I'll disagree with that. Warner hasn't thrown that much to the halfback since Faulk. This was not the same offense. The same offense would have forced the ball into double coverage more often. Definitely some simarities, but not the same offense IMO.

Warner has always had problems with the Tampa 2 defense. That is probably page one on how to beat a Kurt Warner led offense. If the defense is getting pressure with four guys most of the time with 5 added in on a few plays for a quick sack like the 9ers did.

If Warner is'nt in sync with his Wide Recievers from the get go then it is normally a long day.I will always give him the fourth quarter tho.He has become quite magical over the years in the fourth quarter for some reason and even beat the Tampa Two with a awesome throw to Ricky Proehl when it was meant for another reciever to be running that route, and it beat the Warren Sapp led Bucs to go to SB 34.

So I've never given up on Kurt in any game he's in.He can get on a roll of scoring drives like he did in one post season game with Nawlin's and if not for a fumbled punt by Az Hakim the lambs would've come back from the biggest deficit ever in a post season game.He did all of this with a concussion too. That was in 2000-2001 post season. The year Marshall Faulk won the league MVP.

I still don't give up on Kurt Warner unless his bones are sticking out when he's taking a snap.He just comes up with plays sometimes that make us all shake our heads the good way.I hope all the folks that broke thier legs jumping off the band wagon from last weeks game can't find a seat back on the wagon.Even the harshest critics need to step up if Warner has a great game in the rain on the East coast in the Early game.

I predict if it happens they just won't post of they'll find something else he did wrong besides be part of the win. This thread has the plan Warner is out after the bye week.I don't think thats gonna happen.Thats MY OPINION and I think the defense is gonna help Warner out and his wide recievers are gonna start bringing in everything around them. This team is gonna grow slowly this season. It won't be a blowout in the bad weather.

I have a quiet confidence and am not as worried as I was last weekend.Glad we play the early game really.I have more time to celebrate during the watching of the second and Sunday night game.Am I gonna ask anyone to eat crow after all the things said last week?NEVER.Its what makes this place so special. We have two quarterbacks of talent on our team and I'm not in a big hurry to see the Hall of Famer sit on the bench and earn that much money.I don't think Coach Whiz is either.

Just please don't call me a Warnerphille.Thats so childish.I don't make fun of or ever say anything bad about Matt.I can even spell his last name right.I DO NOT think Warners hip hurts him anytime but when he is standing still and he only said that about 4 weeks ago before a pre-season game to an announcer.I'm sure he is doing much better by now.Its all about his timing and protection.Once he gets his confidence back and does'nt have to pry himself off the ground on every play he will show us some great drives once again.

I don't drink so you can't accuse me of being drunk.I just think Kurt knows it time to lead and not by excuses but to have a say in the gameplan and maybe to even run the no-huddle with him calling the plays. If only Whiz would let him do it again. Will he? Lets see.The Jags secondary is'nt as tough as it once was.Thier fans are not excited at all about this years team or coach who is on the hot seat for sure.No sellout is expected.Just rain. That may even keep more fans away.It sure won't be loud with everyone with thier hands under the plastic.

If we're gonna win the SUPERBOWL in MIAMI we better get used to winning in Florida more often.I'm not calling anyone out at all.I'm just giving my opinion is all and I'm really hoping coach has given Beanie another piece of the playbook that will get him some open space and the ball this week.First downs is all I ask. With the penalties left back in the desert.PLEASE.:D

Interesting....

I want to give Warner the benefit of the doubt, but he has to show me that he is up the challenge. No excuses, no throwing teammates under the bus, just results. We have someone waiting in the wings if he is not ready. (just like last year)

Just curious... How many of the passes to Hightower do you think that the play was designed for him to be the first option on?

Even your statement "the same offense would have forced the ball into double coverage", indicates the problem was in the execution not the plays that were called.

If I were to guess, more than half. The coaching staff after the game said that they thought throwing to Hightower would exploit weaknesses in the SF defense. They had planned to do this.

Ok, I missed that.

Still, my contention is better execution of the game plan would have secured a win. Extensive penalties, poor route running and drops by the WR's, inadequate blocking by the OL, poor play by Warner, all of these factors played into the loss, moreso than the playcalling.

Many reasons why we lost the game. Hopefully we play better than last week. Even with as poor as we played, we were up late in the 4th quarter. That should be encouraging.

But we were behind the whole game..That is what worries me. We simply cannot do that against Jacksonville with the weather as a potential factor as well..

I think since April 14th the Niners had one thing on their mind, beat the Cardinals week 1. I am not so sure we had the same focus or intensity. But like dreamcastrocks stated "as poor as we played, were were up late in the 4th quarter".

I will not put the blame on any one person of our week one loss, seems there is plenty to go round.
