Kliff sucks.

Kyler does too.

End of story.
Kyler is young and has shown some brilliance, what has Kliff ever shown? You don’t give up on young QBs with his talent, has he not shown you enough you would like to see him with a quality NFL coach at the helm? And it’s not end of story period as Kyler is gonna be here awhile, Kliff doesn’t need to be…

But WHY Shane? Why is he playing worse this year than in 2020 and 2021? What's causing the change man?

A plethora of reasons I’m sure. Nobody truly knows. I’m sure it’s some Kliff. I’m sure it’s some Kyler. But I know one thing there is a handful of posters that think Kyler is pretty much innocent in the whole ordeal. Which is just plain silly.

I just can’t believe people can watch as much football as ALL of us do and be SO in the tank for ANY player that they think that performances like today are even close to OKAY because of cheese yards and a TD at the end of the game make the stats tell a different story than the reality that played out on the field.

There was no cheese yards or TD at the "end" of the game. Our last score made it a 3 pt game with 3+ minutes remaining and 3 timeouts. That is a very, very winnable situation. Unfortunately the defense gave up the long TE pass, couldn't stop the run, and allowed a quick TD to seal the game.

If anything happened on the final desperation drive down 10 with under a minute and no timeouts, you'd have a point.

Good question. Maybe no need to game prep. The game comes to him. He sees what others don't. I could go on. Kyler is not the only problem, but he is a large part of the problem.

Kliff has shown the same “brilliance” as his coach.

I’m not ready to give up on Kyler. I think a new coach should get a chance to turn him around.

But right now, he sucks. And he’s sucked since the second half of last season. Period. End of story.

The more tape people get on players, the worse they can become.

Or because the kid just doesn’t study enough. There’s a reason they put that clause in his contract.

Yes, because the owner is a moron who has no idea what he's doing. Same guy that signed Kliff for 5 years. Everybody told him not to include the clause, but he did it anyway, quickly backtracked, deleted the clause, and created another off-season distraction and easy mockery of his team.

He led the offense to whopping 14 points.

Just 7 POINTS UNTIL 3 MINUTES.

Defend that QB all you want but you’re gonna look as bad as he did… and continues to be all season.

You just KNEW that was coming as Kyler padded his stats with dinks and dunks all game that practically led the offense nowhere and when it finally did at the end of the game it was because the D played prevent and he played right into their hands throwing five yard passes in the middle of the field and bleeding the clock.
Kyler Bortles makes another appearance to make fantasy player happy.

Probably close to last on 2nd and 3rd down too!

It seems likely teams have figured out how to rattle Kyler, on top of our own Oline issues. (Edit: I deleted most of this post because it was a lot of words and wasn't particularly insightful).

Kyler hasn't been right since his panic in the end zone last year against the Rams. He's a different guy now.

As bad as he did? Did you watch today's game or just the box score?
I watched every pathetic second of it. And was disgusted in the first half when he had all day to throw and repeatedly went Sam Bradford with check downs… before duplicating Sam Bradford’s final play with us on that pathetic fumble, which was a CARBON COPY MISTAKE made against the same exact Seattle team at the same point of the field.

He’s a talented kid who thinks his ish doesn’t stink (even dressing down D-Hop today which was laughable) is risk averse throwing, running and even when he does run, doesn’t protect the damn ball.

You have a vivid imagination. Have a good evening.

I just don't know how one can expect an incomplete coach to complete a QB. Kliff is not useless, but his sphere of tutelage is limited up to certain point. I think he made some beneficial contribution to what Mahomes is now during his tenure at Texas Tech, but it required someone like Andy Reed to make him a viable superstar in this league
