Roberts has been horrible. Dude is not getting open and when Kolb does the fire dance run run in and out of the pocket (be it for real or he is just skittish)...no other WR is trying to come back and get open other than Fitz. Yes, Stuckey could be called suckey BUT he is a veteran and there is a good chance he knows how to come back and find a open space when Roberts has not

Roberts appears to be a bust. Never fear, Whiz said that we don't need to sign a free agent #2 WR as there are many on the team that can fill this role.:bang:

Kolb can't get the ball to Fitz on a regular basis. What good will another WR do? We started out using our TE's the first part of the year and that has gone by the wayside. The problem isn't the WR's. It's the person throwing to them.

Roberts is not getting open, and he is making no effort to catch the pass when thrown in his direction. I watched the game again. Yes, Kolb has a bad line and making the line look worse at times running into the pressure but that still puts the WRs in a role of coming back to get open and Roberts is not doing it IMO

I'd rather see what Sampson/Williams have over Stuckey (I know they are both battling injuries right now, but Stuckey does nothing for me).

I thought he'd be a great YAC guy but hasn't done much this year. Calling him a bust is ridiculous though.

Better third round pick than Buster Davis. Most of us shook our heads at this one when the pick was made. There were so many other needs and we already had Breaston

another target? Getting the D's focus off solely Fitz? A #2 WR would be an improvement

It looks even worse when you see that Jimmy Graham, Navarro Bowman and Tony Moeaki went in the next 7 picks.

and Doucet. But,again, I can't argue if he was their highest rated player at the time and was BPA. It seems the problem is their ranking system for BPA needs adjusting.

I think we need a speedy reciever for our group. All are recievers are about the same speed and roberts maybe a bit faster. Speed kills, we need a guy who can stretch the field. I think if we had a speed demon he would have to draw double coverage, which in turn could get Fitz open. I think that's our team in general. No speed.

It would be hard with stamina and injury risk involved making the request probably unrealistic but the object is to win games...I would design a few plays with Peterson in on offense...dude runs with the ball in a physical manner akin to Boldin. It is about playmakers, Peterson is a playmaker regardless of what position he plays and he is a football player

Nor did we need to keep Breaston.

Doucet has one more TD than Breaston and just as many yards as Breaston. I have no problem with letting Breaston go for the amount of money he received. In fact Doucet has already tied Breaston's career high for most TDs for a season. Our TEs have become the #3 receiver.

The real problem is not WR. It's at OT and the complete failure to address it at all this offseason.

I like Doucet, Roberts is not ready yet and next year will reveal if he is a bust or not...willing to give a young guy from a small school some time but at the moment he is not consistent enough

Stuckey is deep in Whis's doghouse after the Washington fumble. Doesn't see the field and is behind Isaiah Williams for PT. No chance he gets in games, and he's at best a #4 WR.

But if Whis says again that Andre Roberts is doing a good job blocking in the run game and we're happy with that, I'm going to throw up. That note in Monday's presser was beyond silly.

Andre Roberts is a bust.

You're just being dramatic. I won't label a player a bust unless he's cut by year 2 or ineffective thru year 3-4. Remember he came from the Citadel.

He hasn't done much this year and neither has Dan Williams. I'm giving them more time.

Dan Williams is getting a bad rap. It is Paris Lenon who hasn't done anything with the huge gaps created by our 2nd year NT.

The next time I see Lenon or Bradley fill a gap will be the first time.

This. I don't know why none of the local guys are talking about Dan Williams' play this season. He's been excellent.

THANK YOU! I'll be watching a play and think, in that split-second before a tackle, 'damn, Dumpster Dan plugged it up'. Then I'll wonder, in the next split-second, why there isn't a linebacker in the gap. I will then notice Lenon struggling to get off of a block and failing miserably, in the wrong gap. Then the RB will go by for a nice chunk of yards. Argh!

This. I don't know why none of the local guys are talking about Dan Williams' play this season. He's been excellent.

Seriously, he's a stud. On an even average defense, and given the PROPER playing time, he makes the Pro Bowl EASILY.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you. IMO, most receivers need 3 years to learn NFL route running to become effective. If you get anything out of them in their first 2 years, that's candy.

My opinion of Roberts is that he can't catch the ball in traffic. I don't know that can be learned/improved upon at this point in his career.

I think he is a 4th or 5th option on a team, that should only see the field in specialized situations. NOT a #2. I'd rather see more Doucet at this point.

I used to look forward to those pressers. I can't even stomach to go to the site to watch them anymore. Ugh.
