If I recall correctly there were never reports circling that said that a deal was imminent between the Cards and Peyton. There was lot of speculation that he would want to come here and that there was a good chance of it, but the Reid news is making it sound like a done deal.

Exactly. Only thing close was Gambo citing his sources saying that "a deal would be done soon between Peyton and the Cards." No one believes Gambo and most think his sources are fictional.

Gambo is a clown and once he said that, i was convinced the deal wasnt going to happen with Peyton.

Tim Ring is a good guy but he's a small fish in a big pond that is the media. His revolution that a deal is "imminent" is a hell of a gamble on his part. His report nearly blew up Twitter, so his credibility could be on the line IMO

Welcome to today's media; where the object is to get the story out as fast as possible as opposed to being accurate with said story.

Jay Glazer is probably the most accurate reporter in the NFL and he hates journalists that do this.

BTW - all Glazer has done with this story was retweet the Mark Dalton report that a deal is not close.
