Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress, Dustin Keller, Shonn Green and one of the best o-lines in the NFL say otherwise. Peyton is also well know for making mediocre to average receivers look productive.
Don;t forget the FA market for WRs is deep this offseason
Still don't get why this is such an issue for everyone. Yes, Ryan is looney tunes, but he is passionate, eccentric, and takes a hands-off approach to the offense.
How many
elite quarterbacks play indoors other than Drew Brees?
Rodgers, Eli, Brady, and others do just fine outdoors. Plus, there is only a
slight drop off in stats from indoors to out for Peyton (take into account they are all away games).
In addition, how many elite free agent QBs are lining up in front of dome stadiums to sign a contract simply because the team plays indoors?
Doubt it. I would believe they'd enjoy the sibling rivalry in New York. Plus, they aren't afraid to share endorsement deals. See Oreo commercials.
The Jets are a good QB away from supplanting the Pats in the division. The Pats defense was abysmal this season and ranked amongst the worst all time
in pass defense. The Jets are light years ahead of the Pats on defense. Put Peyton behind center and I would imagine they'd be the favorites to win the AFC East.
Well, duh. But to dismiss the idea because of this notion is ridiculous. IMO, I presented enough substance to back up a potential move to the Jets.
I hope you're not lumping me into this category because you know I think there is a good possibility he goes to New York.
But who knows...maybe you'll buy me a Peyton Manning jersey if he comes to the Cards, after all
