It was nice for ASU to get back-to-back wins in what has been an otherwise forgettable season. I didn't think the Sun Devils had the talent to beat Arizona. Have to give Sendek some credit because I have been very critical of his coaching. My feelings haven't changed but I would like to see an upward trend in ASU basketball, especially next season. A win in the PAC 12 Tourney would be nice but it may be too much to ask of this team.

In regard to Arizona, it does not help the conference if they do not make the NCAA tournament. I'd like for ASU to elevate their basketball program rather than cheer if they falter. I'd like a good clean rivalry between the teams and the fans. I guess these forums are a start.

I know what you mean and agree with most of what you've said but I think ASU fans will have a hard time forgetting this season. The only thing that could have made this season worse would have been if Lisa Love had celebrated the Devils win by further extending the already absurd Sendek extension.

Wow, Colorado beat Oregon. Cal might be the only team to get a bid from the Pac-12.

Unless UA can win the tourney! :)

Actually, I think it puts Arizona back in the running for an at-large. If they beat OSU and lose in a close game to Cal I think there's a chance they'll make it. I know they always say they don't look at conference affiliation but I expect them to take 2 Pac teams and if it finishes like this I'd think the Cats would have a reasonable argument over UW for that at-large bid (and vice versa, unfortunately). If Colorado wins it all, I'd guess it would boil down to the Huskies and the Bears.

Agree - if UA makes final, even if they don't win, they should be in.

Well, I wouldn't go quite that far. IMO, losing to Cal would put Arizona above Oregon and Colorado but UW despite their early loss in the tourney still has the regular season title on their resume. I just think a close battle with Cal might even it out a bit. Also, there's still the slim hope that the committee will put in 3 Pac teams.

One down, one to go...

BTW, why is there UA tourney talk on the ASU but not the UA board?

Good question. Now, the question is, does this move Arizona into the field over UW in Joe Lunardi's brackets? Probably not, but I really don't see a compelling reason why the Huskies should be in over the Wildcats.

I'm torn on who I want to win the late game tonight. A California win is slightly better for UA's slim chances for an at-large bid but a Colorado win probably provides the more favorable matchup for the Cats.

Considering the Pac-12 automatic bid, I would much prefer Colorado.
