Because the Pacers are likely looking to the future. Indiana might want to give him a look and keep him in free agency.

If the Pacers trade Sabomis and Turner, the Pacers are a good home.
I believe the most that we, or an acquiring team, can offer Smith next year is 4.67 million. Another team could offer more and the Pacers would have to let him go.

Don’t mistake me, I think the Suns would trade him if they could, I’m saying that there are very few teams that will do it, if any.

Shop expiring contracts and salary matches. There are trades to be made.

I think you are way overly optimistic. Especially when it comes to trading Jalen Smith. It takes two to tango.

I'd rather trade someone else and keep Jalen as insurance but there are a lot of teams going nowhere.
