I’m not embarrassed. I actually came away feeling better about our resolve under pressure and think this game will matter come the playoffs.

Our dudes are fighters. Now we need Keim to shore up our run defense.

10 pts off of turnovers. A fluke INT at the end costs us a tie at a minimum. And Kyler went god mode for 90 yards in the 2 min drill.

we will get better because of this game.

but man…… I sure would have loved to win it! Haha

The correct take

Not embarrassing. Yeah, we played poorly in the first half. Yeah, I am super pissed that AJ Green didn't turn his head around. Yeah, I wanted to be 8-0. There are many plays that you can point to that say "WTF?" But we lost to a 6-1 team on a short week with a bunch of injuries. We fought back, stopped them at the one, ran down the field for almost 99 yards, and lost by 3.

Do you guys not remember the REALLY bad years?

This is one smart lady. Someone should marry her

Seriously ridiculous. The guy has already surpassed Fitz production of 2020 in 7 games. And has 2 more TDs. Fitz was completely washed. regardless of that boneheaded play he’s a better player then Fitz at this point and it’s clear as day.

Both can be true. Fitz was washed but also Larry Legend never blows a game like that

Why don't the NFL incorporate Thursday Night Football into team's byes?

Eg

Play Sunday Oct 10

Play Thursday Oct 21

Play Sunday week Oct 31

Three games in four weeks. No short breaks.

I get that teams aren't going to be able to do this right at the beginning of a season so you'd still get some teams on short breaks but it seems a pretty arduous task to back up after a Sunday mid/late season when you're already getting a bit banged up.

Each team should get two byes if they force players to play Thursday nights.

Well it's not just AJ Green. Rondale Moore made a really dumb play or two also.

Just a little better run D and this game would have still been ours.
Several things cost us this game, but this is no different than if the kicker missed a chip shot FG for the win, that’s all you really remember.

His pain threshold is less than zero... maybe he should be a baseball player. I would take Allen or Herbert 10 out of 10 times. Everyone speaks of how fats i mean fast Kyler is, all i see is him never running away from anybody. He is quick, but fast thats a no
The same Josh that broke his leg? Ok

End of game tonight was EXACTLY why I was pissed that we went conservative last week before the half with 13 seconds and no timeouts left and kicked the field goal. Last week was the PERFECT opportunity to get experience in tonight’s almost identical circumstance and in a LIVE GAME SITUATION. Last week could have prepared us better for a big time moment so we wouldn’t have been novices when the pressure is on... and tonight we saw exactly why when Green totally crapped the bed.

Counting the cost
Kyler - seemed to hurt his left ankle right at the end of the game
Collins - shoulder? Did he play any more snaps after that?
Kirk - limping at one stage however kept playing
Edmonds - that shoulder took another knock. Pretty impressive catch and run just after but will be interesting to see how he pulls up
Ward - concussion/neck issue
Hopkins - clearly hampered

Was a pretty brutal game. Players going down everywhere. Somehow Robert Alford keeps on trucking though haha

Cash the check - keim will take tonight’s game and run defense and make a play for a d lineman . Could be the loss they needed

I like the idea. Gives them almost two bye weeks really . Maybe make all bye weeks after week 6 or 7 and double up on Thursday night games (maybe even a Friday game) but still afford teams multiple 10 day breaks after the first six or seven weeks.

Let's have some perspective.

We had a poor first half for sure. But we were in position to win the game, should have won the game. If AJ makes that catch and we win it's a "great win".

We're 7-1. We can't let one game define us. We should have won, we didn't. It's extremely disappointing. Got to take the rough with the smooth.

The defense did a good job to stop them, the offense did a good job to drive for the win. It's gutting it didn't fall our way but that's football. Most important thing now is to beat the Niners.

As gutted as everyone is about how it ended I bet all of us combined aren't as gutted as AJ Green.

At least we have a long week for players to rest.

Also nothing wrong with our D line. It's wasn't great but it wasn't the dumpster fire some are making out. Still missing Peters and Lawrence. Kept Aaron Jones to 3.9 YPC. Made some big stops when they were required. A lot of their longer runs that upped their YPC came in their own half.

And you can't sell out vs the run with Rodgers at QB. Rodgers is like a coach out there checking plays depending what he sees from the defense. Hard to counter that.

Don't see Keim making any moves because there are no moves that make this D line better.

This was a major problem too. I know we were behind some, but never by so much we had to abandon the run.

Embarrassing loss

Embarrassing? Hardly. Rough game and lose on a fluke brain fart by a guy who otherwise has been enjoying a career resurgence and catching most everything thrown at him? Thats not embarrassing. It happens. And we look like such the better team having it happen to us last night than any other time since I started watching in 88.

Im not embarrassed. Im excited. Our field general expects to win every time he steps oin the field. It it happens. A lot. 7-1.

This was Pop Warner football. The defense only showed up on two series the whole game and the offense only showed up on one series in the first half. This should have been a blow out win. There is no excuse in the world why AJ Green didn’t catch that for a TD to win the game. He looked like a rookie 7th round pick on the last play instead of one of the best to ever play the game. It is time to bring Fitz back.
Bwahahahahahahaahahahahahaha.

Jersey, when your team gets better you have to change your standards. Measuring your expectations by comparing to losing years is for . . . well, people who don’t believe they have a right to expect more. Let’s have more self respect.

Garbage take. We are excited because a loss like this is NOT going to derail an entire season. It just isnt. This team does not quit. ever. backed against a wall, playing poorly, they keep pressing until they break thru. It almost culminated in a W. Youre the one who "wont ever forgive" AJ Green. Hilarious.

Accusing her of a lack of self respect is bush league garbage.
