Merry Christmas, everyone!

http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/?p=659

I should be going to this game with my baby brother, which has generally been bad news (I was at the Rams game this year). I think if the defense struggles in this one, we should be careful not to jump to conclusions.

The Davante Adams/Powers match up is interesting, but according to the Packers faithful, they aren't too high on him.

To quote one Packers fan: "Davante Adams probably can't even hold onto his penis right now. I wouldn't want to be standing at the urinal next to his."

The Pack have the good fortune of being able to generate consistent pressure when rushing 4 and dropping 7.
I think our run game should be/could be huge as a means to slow down their rush and save Carson from taking another beating...

And although the Pack truly suffer at the WR position, Rodgers is still Rodgers and he will have both Quarless and Rodgers available to him at TE. With the Badger gone, The Pack will likely be targeting their TE early and often...

Man I hope we pull this one and lock up the #2 seed so next week means squat!!!

Yup.

If you watched Adams this year, he has been horrible and Packers' fans I know in person have let it known that he couldn't even catch a cold.

this game is odd

by conditioning -- I expect that the Packer's O to be efficient and dangerous, and the Packers D to be soft and porous

the stats say exactly the opposite -- and its just hard to picture in my head

I think we are going to smoke their arse and send all them Packer fans home knowing the reality of what they are facing... Packer fans might be arrogant but they are not football stupid, and unlike a ignorant Cowboy fan, know teams past their own and it would be surprising to me if Green Bay won and would be for them too

Mentioning how Massie's games become more important just burns my hide. With each passing game Cooper and Humphries aren't even on the radar. I know RT is not necessarily their position, but the thought of having to replace Massie with another player not on the roster is unsettling to say the least when draft picks were already used to bolster the line.

The 12-2 #azcardinals are working on using the silent count for Sunday’s home game vs. Packers, per Carson Palmer.

Thanks for the Kamper preview K-9. I pretty much agree with Karma that this game appears to be rather odd, much because of the reasons he gave, but even from the perspective of being such uncharted territory for the Cardinals. This is shaping up to be a very different ending to a regular season for our Red Birds.

I think it's pretty much a certainty that Massies replacement (going into camp) is on the roster right now

Green Bay. Minnesota. Seattle. Pittsburgh... Let's be real guys and cease with the moans about not having a home field advantage when these teams come to our house.
Lets remember that Phoenix is a destination. A place where people both move to, or, come to live during the winter months - mostly from the locations mentioned above..
Add in that those teams have long histories of sustained success and therefore, entrenched fan-bases... And we get what we get.
UoP will be rocking nonetheless. Yes, there will be 10,000 - 12,000 GB fans in attendance... SO WHAT! It is what it is...

This really pisses me off. Folks who sold their tickets simply to make money, if this offense has ANY communications issues and struggle for any reason, thanks for helping our opponents before the biggest game of the season.

What pisses me off is that no one ever mentions the brokers. There's said to be at least 10,000 seats if not more owned by ticket brokers and yet not one person in the media every mentions that. Maybe Bickley did, but it was a very short mention.

Yea several people are selling their tickets, but I think the majority are being sold by brokers or people that just bought season tickets to just resell. Now the fans that have sold one or 2 game tickets are getting most of the crap.

People's lives and financial situations are not static. I lived 3 hours away when the Cards were in St. Louis in the late 70's and early 80's and had season tickets. I knew most of the people around me in that stadium and many times I found myself sitting next to Cowboys or Redskins fans because said ticket-holders needed the money for something else. That's life.

It's a freaking football game--if somone sells their tickets it doesn't make them any less of a fan than you. In a perfect world, they would be right next to you, screaming their heads off. It just ain't...whether it "pisses you off", or not.

I remember when I went in to pick my seats for the new stadium. It went by how long you were a season ticket holder and then you received your date and time to go in. I received mine and when I went in I found out there was very few seats left down by the field. This was around the whole stadium. She showed me on the computer what was left, I asked the woman what the hell was going on. most of the seats were gone and she told me that the people before me people were buying 8 to 12 seats and more.

I know what they were doing. They were buying those tickets and selling them on line as an investment hoping to make a killing. When I first started going to the games in the new stadium it felt just like SDS :( Being surrounded by the enemy. By the way I have been a season ticket holder for about 17 years now and I do have good seats. I did get stuck on the visitors side again though but at least it's NOT bench seats and HOT! :)

Don't be so sure. I had season tickets since day one. Many friends and family wanted to get season tickets for the new stadium. They joined forces with me and we had a total of 21 seats. They were all Cardinals' fans and no one was selling them.

David Bakhtiari (LT) and Sam Shields (CB) are injured and the Packers will not know their status until practice in AZ on Saturday. (They are taking Friday off entirely for Christmas).

Bakhtiari hurt his ankle late against Oakland and Shields is still in concussion protocol for the second week.

Bakhtiari is tied as the 26th-best offensive tackle in the League with Russell Okung (for comparison, Veldheer is #10), according to PFF.

Sam Shields is the CB assigned to the opponent's best receiver each game.

Pumped for this one. I will be there with 3 others wearing Cardinal Red and screaming our heads off. Saw that Ellington is going to be active. Might be good to have in him for a few plays to get DJ breathers. Not sure how much AE will play, but to be honest, I hope he doesn't so he can be ready for the playoffs

Look, in other threads, I've already said if someone's out of town, or someone's in financial dire straits and sell their tickets, I've got no issue with that. But if you just want to make money off the biggest game of the year instead of going to it, by definition it makes them less of a fan then the guy who's going who could do the exact same thing. Why? They're valuing cash over the game, whereas the fan values the game over money. It's a pretty simple.

This might be the most unpredictable game this year. I think if the Cards can run for 100 yds+ they win. On offense the Packs' pass rush worries me. On defense I've watched several of their games and I've never seen so many drops by open receivers. If they catch the ball, they'll score and perhaps score often. They really struggle to run consistently. I'm thinking the Cards 33-27. It would help if the Cards could score better in the red zone!

I think you are right, but I think comes down to both run games. If Lacy is the Lacy of last year, then our D needs to shut him down (even though he has been pretty pedestrian this year). The Cards are the much better team and if they play another turnover free game, I see them with a 2 possession win
