Lovello had Hoover warming up in the pen for the 9th, then switched to Rodney, and I said, "Oh, no!" Then he switched back to Hoover.

I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind. Was Lovello going to give Rodney a chance to redeem himself, as many managers do, then decided it was too much of a risk?

If so, I wish he would have done all of that thinking before deciding whom he wanted to start throwing.
