You have to take into account that everybody "got their man" from Kendrick on down so they aren't sure who to fire or what that says about their judgement.

This is a management in a group denial right now. They keep repeating "this should work" in their P.R.

Well time to get a game in. I had to give it a break. I hope to see Drury do something.

Well if you sell a playoff team all off season and give us this team that will happen. This however is a good game.

It's a 7-5 win.

Lowered exceptions helps.

Drury needs to stay up and on the filed. Give the man a spot.

4-0

My Lord Miller was looking good and then a total tank job. 4-5 and maybe more. Ace to a 5 run inning?

I (unhappily) posted a comment about our starting pitchers (except Greinke) giving up 4 runs in 5 innings every game. So Miller gives up 5 runs in 4 innings.

A record of 2-8 with an ERA of 6.85. Is that the best the D-backs can do for a #2 pitcher?

He came here with a history of not knowing how to win games and is true to form. With a horrible ERA.

This trade is going to cost someone their job.

It should. We can't pitch as a team at all. If we were just ok I think we have a 500 team even with some players out. We need 8 to 10 runs to win.

Who was the guy that just had to have Miller? Was it LaRussa?

Somebody just had to have this guy when everybody on earth said he was mediocre at best.

And they were so desperate about it that the Braves bent them over hard.

At this point I tihink Miller's presence is totally demoralizing for the team. Is it just me or did it seem like the entire team got a lift when he was on the DL?

Granted the Miller trade looks like a disaster now but I'm guessing they thought they were getting the guy who posted a 3 ERA last year, not the 7 ERA guy this year.

But there were all sorts of red flags surrounding this trade.

All the talking heads were laughing their butts off about it the day it was made.

Yeah, talking heads are always right. That's why they talk and don't make baseball decisions. If they throw enough $hit on the wall, some of it is bound to stick.
