I've heard some good things about them and wanted your input. Probably Vince will know them. Are they a christian group?

Of course Vince will know them, they're progressive metal :)

To be honest, I've only heard some of their earlier albums (circa 1998-2000) and I've always found them to be a talented band that was a bit raw for my tastes. They're very similiar to the Galactic Cowboys in that regard (although their music is very different from G.C.).

They're o.k. in my book, but you'd be better served listening to In Flames, Soilwork, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Symphony X, Sonata Arctica, etc., if you want to hear some great new prog metal.

Nightwish's new CD, "Once", is absolutely breathtaking.

I'm going to get an In Flames CD I think it's Colony. And i've heard a lot about NIghtwish.

If you google NIGHTWISH VIDEO WISH ANGEL you'll see some links for their new video, "I wish I had an angel."

It's the best new metal song in years. I love that band. The contrast in the voices between the female singer and the male singer (who's also the bassist) is just phenomenal.

Pain of Salvation is one of my favorite bands. One of few bands i know that i cannot compare to anything else; their sound is highly original. Any cd (except the last one, "BE") is a good place to start. Personally i recommend "One Hour By the Concrete Lake". They are not a Christian group per se, though at times the lyrics are spiritual, depending on the particular theme of the album.

Some songs you might want to check out:

"Handful of Nothing"
"Inside Out"
"! (Forward)"
"Oblivion Ocean"
"Used"
'"Ashes"
"Rope Ends"
"Undertow"
"Iter Impius"
