The Palmeranian trade is no bueno for Cardinals long term plans IMO. I would take Freeman > Palmer all day, but I hope we roll with Stanton this year and then move him back to back up.

Palmer's yards per completion average in Oakland last two seasons was 12.7. The Cards were at 10. (Lindley was 8.4!) With 337 completions for the Cards that would be over 900 yards of extra offense about 60+ yards per game.

Question: How much difference would that make?

It would equate to 60%, 20 TDs instead of 50% and 11 tds :)

:biglaugh:You should probably switch teams than amigo.

From the words of someone who knows football.

Palmer had 10 pass plays of 40 yards or more last year. That's the same number as Matt Ryan and more than Aaron Rodgers (nine) and Tom Brady (eight). Flacco, the deep bomber, had 12.

Palmer to Fitzgerald would be lethal.

It makes too much sense for Arizona to land Palmer. They have a talented roster -- the line needs upgrading in the draft -- but they will be a much different team with Palmer taking snaps.

Arizona has to find a way to make this work.

This could be like Kurt Warner landing in their lap.

Palmer is no a chump -- even if some in the media would make you think that he has become one.

Denial is Not a River in Egypt

Here is a good acrticle for you.

The question on our little trivia quiz was, "What is the longest river in the world?" I guessed wrong. Turns out the correct answer was: The longest river in the world is the Nile.
I should have known! It correlates so closely with the longest list of avoidance behaviors. Not de Nile, but denial.

Denial is right up there with whining, blaming, and stalling when it comes to behaviors people use to avoid having to do those parts of their job they find distasteful, or even fearful.

Other way around. Palmer doesn't want to play for the Raiders, declined to take a pay cut, and forced his way out of Oakland. He was acquired by the previous regime and is disenchanted with the direction the new management is taking.
