My TV is innundated with commercials for this thing and I don't know what it is about them, but its like nails on chalk board. I want to punch this movie in its face.

Too bad, besides Star Wars, this is my most anticipated movie for the rest of 2015.

I like the Peter Pan story, and a feel a great film could be made, but I'm not feeling it from this one... at all.

This feels like "Joel Schumacher's Peter Pan". Absolutely ridiculous visuals, overblown silly CGI, a few over the top cartoonish characters, the kid seems annoying, Gerret Hedlund (a local boy) has always bugged me.

But more than anything its the general look of the movie. Pirate ships in space and a villain that looks like a cheap Vegas street performer.

Garret Hedlund is by far the only really bad thing I see about this movie. Such an awful actor with terrible delivery.

Did you see the live action remake Peter Pan a few years ago? It was very well-made and I see the same sort of filmmaking on this one, albeit with more effects.

I don't think I will ever see this movie. It looks impossibly bad.

Agree, the previews for this are doing absolutely nothing for me. The only reason I would go is if my kids ask to be taken.

Are you talking about the one with Christopher Walken? That was pretty good.

This is a movie that my family and I will see. For my kids, the love Peter Pan and to them, this looks great. If I didn't have kids, I would wait till it came out on DVD.

"Impossibly bad"? Come on.

You appear to be in the minority abut this movie. I am rarely surprised about how good a movie is, when I thought it was going to be horrible.

Transporter Refueled, Hitman Agent 47, those I can see as "impossibly bad" if you haven't seen them. But not this one.

I think that overall it will be a halfway decent popcorn film.... nothing terribly notable, but not awful either. I'll see this one in the theater for the visuals, if nothing else. I might waste a few bucks here, but I think the gamble will be worth it..... ;)

I am in that minority as well.

Count me in on skipping this in the theaters. Previews do nothing at all for me...other than make me want to avoid this film.

"Look, here is a classic tale only we are changing it up. See - it is almost like it is not a remake because we are making it so wild and crazy and like nothing you've ever imagined before!!"

Uh, pass.

Pre-release Tomatometer currently at 45% (critics).

Critics Consensus: Pan finds a few bursts of magic in its prequel treatment of classic characters, though not enough to offset the rushed plot and shrill, CGI-fueled action.

Except the classic tale is AFTER Peter becomes Pan, so technically this isn't the "classic tale", just a prequel. I'm just glad I have you negative nancies to set me straight. :)

To clarify, I am in the minority of going to see it. My kid is super excited about it. If it sucks, I get a two hour nap and if not, then I get to see a fun movie.
