It's hard keeping score on the injuries anymore. It's more like who is playing.

Ayton is out for the Pelicans game. Holmes is probable.

Gina Mizell‏Verified account @ginamizell

Per #Suns injury report, Deandre Ayton (sprained ankle) is out tomorrow vs. New Orleans and Richaun Holmes (sprained ankle) is probable. T.J. Warren (ankle soreness) is also out. Booker, Johnson and Oubre are, of course, out for the rest of the season.

There is a reason why the Suns have not officially shut down Warren for the remainder of the season.

See the excerpt below from a Duane Rankin article:

Now, Phoenix should go ahead and say they're shutting Warren down as well, but Kokoskov said the Suns aren't doing that.

Why?

Phoenix doesn't want it to look as if it's giving up on the season.

"I think it's the right message for fans who also probably approach the season in terms of that he's still rehabbing," Kokoskov said before Monday's game against Cleveland.

"He did more conditioning yesterday. He's close to getting back to play."

He's close to getting back to play? With 3 games left?

'Too late for that to be believed, even if it were true.

As others have said, with English being Igor's second
language, he is not convincing in a lot of what he says.

Not to the Press. Not to the fans. And, no doubt, not
to the team.

Unless it's meant to mislead possible trade partners,
who would be too smart to fall for that.

Making too much of this. It has nothing to do with his grasp of the English language after coaching in the US for 17 years.

Please. You’re better than that. English has nothing to do with it.

I would be surprised to see Ayton play again, too.

The Suns reportedly have 6 players out tonight including Warren. It would be hard for the Suns to rule him out for the rest of the season with this many players injured.

IMO It's more about the status of his lingering injury than it is game availability. They decided to sit him until the deep bruise was fully healed and according to KOKO Warren is close to the point that they'd clear him for games. I doubt they do play him but that's a different story. Maybe we trade him, maybe we keep him but either way, fans want to know how he's progressing towards being able to play, not necessarily whether he actually will take the court.

Who are these "others"? Don't try and push your own xenophobic views onto someone else in order to justify them. With comments like that it's just a matter of time before you start a campaign to Make the Suns Great Again.

You do know that half this country voted for Trump (and I am not saying I did) and that they are not all xenophobes and bigots. And that many of them post on this board. I usually just let political comments fly by because I want to talk basketball here, but it is quite amazing what one side assumes about the other.

BC believes that Igor's accent hinders his effectiveness. I don't buy it, but that does not make him xenophobic.

The reason I mentioned xenophobia is because BC has bashed Igor nonstop all year and has attributed many false traits to him, such as him being a push over, weak willed, a bad teacher, too calm, passive, unable to lead, etc and now he's doing it again with saying he can't speak english. Rather than own his own statement though he's claiming it's something someone else brought up by saying "As others have said". Who are these others? That's what I'm asking because I'm not seeing these others here, are you? If you are then can you point them out for me?

Why I mentioned "Making the Suns Great Again" is because BC himself has mentioned how he voted for a certain politician with a similar slogan. I'm not saying everyone who voted for him or supports him is xenophobic but I do find that all xenophobes support him and there is a difference there.

His comment was not about his accent, I thought that was pretty clear. That seems to be what you're choosing to believe it was about but is contrary to what he actually said.

I have brought up language barrier issues as well, and politically I'm about as far from the xenophobic crowd as possible. The issue isn't Igor's accent. It's that he doesn't have good command of the English language. I have seen him fumble enough interviews and even a few taped practice sessions to know he has difficulty getting his points across in English. One of a head coach's most important skills is communication, and when you don't have a full command of the language your players speak, problems occur. As I said before, it is no different than an American who does not speak fluent Chinese being hired to go to China to train people who speak only Chinese.

An interesting stat about Bridges.

Evan Sidery‏ @esidery

Interesting stat from Suns PR: Mikal Bridges has a steal-to-turnover rate of 1.79, which is the second-best ever from a rookie. First place was Kawhi Leonard with 1.93

These communications attacks against Kokoskov are so tiring. There is more than one way to say something.

Not that it means much but BC isn't the only one to have brought the language issue to the board. I'm not sure who was first but I've read it from a few posters here and it should be pretty easy to guess who they were - they all shared a similar opinion on Koko. Of course there are a lot of posters that have voiced criticism on Coach that didn't ring in on the language front.

There are several ways to say something. The issue is whether the point gets across. I can communicate in Russian, Spanish and Hebrew, albeit not fluently. How many of you would have a clue what I'm saying if I just started posting in Hebrew?
