The Suns have turned up their defense and lead 85-84.

Yeah, but no. I think he'd pair well with Ayton if we could pry him away but I doubt that will happen.

The Suns might not have enough money to go after Randle if they keep Oubre but he is a nice target.

Spalding looks like a solid find. I know this game doesn't mean all that much but he's definitely making a case to be on the roster next year. I can't remember how he signed, I think it was a multi-year deal. He was a 2nd round pick for the Mav's in this last draft but they waived him so he is still a rookie.

Apparently he signed a minimum deal for this year and next, where he's due $1.4 million next year but it is not guaranteed. Not sure what date that becomes guaranteed but he can be Holmes insurance, if we can't resign Holmes then having Spalding isn't awful. Ideally we'd add another big as well but he would be some solid continuity. He is only 22 years old.

Spalding would be nice depth for the money and he is only 22.

Payton has disappeared in the second half thus far.

Are the Suns getting a fair shake from the refs tonight, possible even a little home cooking? It's weird to see. I imagine not having anyone who is complaining to the refs has helped in that regard.

John Collins is my ideal PF choice if we were granted one player we could get in a trade no matter what.

Grant Hill is a part owner of the Hawks. He should do us a solid and trade us Collins and Trae Young for Jackson, Warren, and our pick. I'd be ok with that, even with the possibility it could be #1 overall. I'd take Young and Collins over Zion.

Edit: The could include Miles Plumlee and his awful salary with them, that's ok. He's due $13 million but his salary makes the trade work and expires next year. Go figure Atlanta is paying 2 of our former Centers more than they're worth in Plumlee and Len, although Len is only making $4.5 million.

Gambadoro said we are going after Tobias Harris.

LMAO Trae Young and Collins would be like us trading Booker and Ayton! Not that I would mind that! :)

I laughed after I wrote that, just to be clear. That would probably be the worst trade in NBA history but if it's in our favor, so be it!

I swear that's the sort of stuff you'll see Lakers fans say though and they're serious when they suggest it. That's the worst part of the offseason, listening to the nonsense they convince themselves they'll pull off. After signing Lebron last year they might be riding a high but he did sort of kill their season also so it's tough to predict.

Nice putback by Melton. He can't shoot but he knows where to be on the floor, on both sides, so I'll give him credit there. Hopefully he works on his shot this offseason.

How did the announcers not know why Jackson fouled Randle? He's a terrible foul shooter, that's why he did it.

Edit: Not terrible but not a good late game foul shooter. He shot 67% from the FT this last month with increased minutes.

A technical on Igor with the Suns up by 1.

This ties the game for the Pelicans and they get the ball.

Game is tied 117-117 and the Suns should get the final shot.
