Not that it means much but BC isn't the only one to have brought the language issue to the board. I'm not sure who was first but I've read it from a few posters here and it should be pretty easy to guess who they were - they all shared a similar opinion on Koko. Of course there are a lot of posters that have voiced criticism on Coach that didn't ring in on the language front.

I know of one other person who bashes Igor as much as BC, maybe more, but I have them on ignore now. I don't recall them making the language comparison but it's been a while since I read their posts. If that's who the "others" are, or is, then I think BC is making a different sort of mistake trying to use that posters opinions to back up his own views because 90% of the board wrote off that poster as a troll months back.

I can't even recall the last time I saw a post where blocking someone was discussed in detail like it was initially when most people blocked them and discussions of how blocking someone ruins a thread because half the people are talking about blocking them rather than actually moving on.

There are several ways to say something. The issue is whether the point gets across. I can communicate in Russian, Spanish and Hebrew, albeit not fluently. How many of you would have a clue what I'm saying if I just started posting in Hebrew?

I have friends who speak five or six languages including English and do it well so your argument doesn't impress me.

Igor speaks English to the team, not a foreign language.

But he doesn't speak fluent English, nor does he have enough of a grasp of the language to be persuasive. And with a young team with players who are prone to zone out authority...

Not a single starter from the opening game are playing tonight for the Suns. Starters in that first game were Booker, Ariza, Anderson, Ayton, and Canaan. I know 3 aren't with the team but that's a little surprising that we've had that much turnover.

You should look at our rosters for the last few years, I've never seen turnover like that before.

Please. You’re better than that. English has nothing to do with it.
Then, as I said, the alternative is that "He's close to getting back to play." with only 3 games left is meant to be nonsense.

Edit: OK, maybe he meant to say that it is his ace in the hole to have enough healthy players. Which would reflect a language problem, because he didn't allude to that.

It is either one or the other.

It's amazing the extent to which people here will defend Igor at all costs, all the hard evidence in the world notwithstanding.

End of 1st quarter:

Pelicans 38 - Suns 31

That was a crazy buzzer beater shot by the Pelicans.

I was wondering, you have to have a minimum number of "active" players on the roster per NBA contract with the players. Maybe having TJ still "active" gives us leeway in this area?

Good thought. I'm not sure what the exact number is but the Suns are close.

Jackson and Spalding have a nice thing going. Josh is finding him with some nice passes.

That "Superman" put back that didn't count by JJ in the first quarter was highlight worthy!

I read something not long ago about how Booker has had something like 54 different teammates, which is virtually unheard of for a young player. That was earlier in the season and I imagine that number is higher now. There needs to be some consistency for next season. God only knows what it could do for Booker alone, surely it would help others as well.

I thought the Suns might have trouble scoring based on their injuries but they seem to be doing well in that regard. I am surprised these guys are giving up that many points though. Most of the healthy players are considered are good defenders.

Both teams are missing key players so it's more like a G League game than an NBA contest. Still, it's fun to watch the players we have available.

I was thinking the opposite with the Pelicans front line size. I am surprised we are so "close."

I think a lot has to do with it the Suns are playing loose and neither team is playing the best defense. Also a lot of players are trying to earn their next contract.
