For all the crying and gnashing of the teeth that this thread has in it, count me as unconcerned. Sure I want Boldin to stay. To be careered(new word) here. So until he leaves I'm not going to worry about it.

What kind of amazes me is how teams like Phili instantly dangle trash like Litto, Graves must be regarded as 1 step above a mongliod, because if this were any other team a player of Boldin's caliber would begin at a #1 and #3.

Having said that I seriously doubt Boldin is going anywhere, he is my favorite cardinal player and I would be sad to see him go.

Just to put this to bed for a bit, this is from Urbans recent blog about Boldin:

http://www.azcardinals.com/blog/blog.php?author=1

"Look, we've gone over this before. Boldin wants a new contract and has let that be known. He has also been a steadily appearing at offseason workouts. He isn't going anywhere. The Cards know he wants more money and I believe they will try to get a new deal done. He is too important to this franchise -- on the field and off -- to toss away in a trade. Did Graves leave the door open a little? Sure, but I am guessing so he has some wiggle room. But be assured, there isn't anyone in this organization that desires Boldin to be traded. They will do everything they can to keep him happy."

Plus the front page of azcardinals.com:

http://www.azcardinals.com/news/detail.php?PRKey=2325

“We’re not interested in trading him, we’re not interested in fielding calls (from other teams) about him,” general manager Rod Graves said. “What we are interested in is fielding a championship team with Anquan on board.”

Does this sound like the Cardinals doing their usual 'prepping' of the fan base before they make a move? Nope. He isn't going anywhere folks. Otherwise we would of picked up on it based on what Somers, Urban, Whis and Graves would be saying.

IF a trade request was made, this just sounds like Rosenhaus throwing his toys and having a little hissy fit because he didn't like the numbers that Graves put out there.

Edgerrin James, you are due to make $6.75m this year and there are 28 other starting running backs I'd want on my team before you. I would rather my team have Rudi Johnson, Tatum Bell, Darius Walker and even Thomas Jones. Only Julius Jones, Cedric Benson and Lendale White are worse in my opinion.
This just made the rest of your post not worth reading.

Matt Leinart, you are due about $6m this year. Perhaps if you stay healthy and can start to understand NFL defenses, you will be worth a fraction of that money.

Q's contributions are above both of these guys. I say, Arizona should cut Edgerrin and send his salary to Anquan Boldin. Arizona might want to get on the phone and deal Matt Leinart, too, if that's what it takes to keep the best receiver in the league on the team.

The draft is like Christmas for fans of all underacheiving teams. It's their playoffs and Super Bowl rolled into one. Teams get some tubular gifts on Saturday and will take them out of their packages in the near future. However, my Christmas has been ruined by the news that Boldin wants to leave. For me, there is no soldiering on with the Cardinals if Warner remains benched and Boldin is dealt. I have no contract with this organization and I only started rooting for the Cardinals when they grabbed my favorite player, Kurt Warner and had a player I was intrigued by who became my next favorite, Boldin.

I now really love a lot of the team and I felt like with more than half of the top 6 players on the roster injured, this next season held great potential if everyone stayed healthy. I was also psyched for a revamped running game. How supremely disappointing it is!

I hope you were on your fifth whiskey when you wrote this........

Darius Walker.....good lord.

Just saw that , I haven't heard any quotes from Q so I hope this isn't the truth. They said the Cards are willing to work on a new deal but not a trade. I hope Q isn't like Chad Johnson

If Drew Rosenhaus is his agent, he is. Drew's clients are nothing more than conduits for his cold, dark Cthulhu-like will. He poisons them with lies and manipulates them into alienating the fanbase, thus creating an untenable locker-room and a collective cold shoulder from the city.

I've got to believe your post was simply driven by a need to use Cthulhu in a sentence. There are and have been agents that GM's simply won't deal with, to the detriment of their clients. If Rosenhaus was evil, he'd no doubt be on such a list. The Cards, to the best of my knowledge, have always come to satisfactory agreement with his clients.

I think trading Q would be a good idea at this point.

Depends on what you get for him I'd want a lot.

A high number 1 is a given and more, probably a 1st and 2nd round pick, try the Chiefs they'd bite.

I'd rather have a low #1 and three or four later round picks. We have enough cap problems without getting another top 10 draft pick.

Wait, I meant "congratulations". THAT'S how that goes.

thx, we're not married yet, still engaged! date is set for Feb 7 (after the superbowl) but it's really hectic.

It will be a good job when my bride-to-be gets rich and can be my sugar mama, and I can play the house husband. That would rule.
