This is from Peter King's Monday March 30 column:

I think I hear and believe what the Cardinals are saying -- and Ken Whisenhunt said it to me again last week, that he is determined to keep Anquan Boldin on his team. But I've seen too many of the guerrilla tactics by agent Drew Rosenhaus to think it's going to go down that way. The Eagles are sitting there at 21 and 28, frothing for a receiver. So is Miami at 25, Baltimore at 26, the Giants at 29 and Tennessee at 30. If the Cards think it's going to be tense with Boldin, with more problems at training camp like last year, they're going to have to think seriously of auctioning Boldin and spending the money on Karlos Dansby long-term.

I think he should be traded. It's better for the team in the long-term, and it's what Boldin wants.

But I have a Boldin Jersey!!!! It is funny how emotionally charged this topic was over the previous year, and how much I find myself agreeing with Linderbee. It has just gotten boring and I care less and less each week.

While I thank Bolding for his effort to rise above what little team we had up until the last year or so, I am dissapointed by his antics. I think it is time for him to go if he wants and if we can get something for him that benefits us, which we can. As for a deal to extend him here, I just see his body breaking down more and more with his style of play so I wouldn't want to break the bank for him.

Anyway we trade Boldin and our 2nd, for the #21 and #28 picks form the Eagles?

Take Knowshon/Wells at 21, Larry English/James Laurenitus at 28, and Hakeem Nicks/Percy Harvin at 31... Use the money and resign Dansby and extend Wilson...

And I am a VERY happy camper

Cards can trade him next year and get equal value. If an extreme trade comes in the Cards will have to trade him. If Philly comes in and offers both first round picks for Q the Cards will HAVE to seriously consider it.

What does one have to do with the other. We don't need to auction Quan off to do anything with Dansby.

As far as guerilla tactics by Rosenhaus, sure they'd probably be disappointed if he didn't froth at the mouth. But they have what they have and from what I've heard it's more than reasonable. They and Dansby's guy have until the draft to get R done. Then all bets are off. It takes two to dance. Preferably.

I don't think you can replace him, with just another rookie, My biggest concern with Q is can he stay healthy? Even if he plays just 9-12 games he puts up numbers that puts him in the top ten. Bottem line many of you are probably right.

Take the money and the picks, sign Wilson and Dansby. Maybe even extend Dockett or Rolle.

Personally I think that because of Boldin's injury history, coupled with the dillweed who represents him, that he's going to be a Card next year.

A very unhappy Card, but a Cardinal nonetheless.

PS - And since when did Peter King ever get anything right about the Cardinals anyway?

Don't hold your breath. This is the best year for WR's entering into the draft in quite a while.

Yeah, the same Peter King that said the Dolphins were Super Bowl contenders when they signed Daunte Culpepper and that the Cardinals were stupid for signing Edge (at least he was a little closer to being right on that last part...but we still went to the Super Bowl with Edge as our RB).

He's no Adam Schefter that's for sure.

Unless someone blows the Cardinals away with an offer(e.g.,in the Roy Williams area), I expect a new contract extension after the draft. The Cardinals, correctly IMO, are prioritizing Karlos Dansby and Adrian Wilson at this point.

I can't really fault the front office at all this offseason. They've added a couple pieces in McFadden and Wright, re-signed Warner, franchised Dansby. McFadden upgrades Eric Green and Wright replaces Arrington with some special teams ability to boot.

Hopefully their draft is solid and they can extend A-Dub and Q in the next few weeks.

Rookie receivers are rarely very productive, it usually takes almost 2 full seasons before they become productive. That is why Boldin would be attractive to a team like the Eagles that want to win now with McNabb.

Maybe so, but not for two 1st's. You could get a 1 and late 3rd. Or a mid second and late second, that's the best you can hope for, if that's what you want .

We won't get two 1st's for Boldin. No way. However a 1st and 3rd would work (for me). The Eagles have 12 picks in this years draft. They could get Boldin and still have a darn good draft.

If your only getting one first it needs to be better than 21 for Boldin IMO! Both of thier firsts are later firsts so its not unreasonable to ask for both for Boldin who is a proven product in this league!
