Argue about his press clippings all you want. Yes great return man. As defender we have no player that is more overrated. Regular pass interference penalties, mediocre wr's have good days on him. Poor tackler.

Wasn't really referring to just today. There's a litany of average wr's that have had some level of success against PP this year.

Hes not elite like everyone acts

but hes not bad.

There are much worse in the NFL. Does Harvin have 150 yards receiving? No? Well calm down, because apprently PP is doing a good enough job.

He needs to work on his tackling skills. How many times does he leave his feet when he misses a tackle? At least stay upright so you can run the carrier down with your speed, PP.

Everyone on this team needs to work on their tackling. We don't have anyone to praise as a great tackler right now.

Why is it that no one throws his way then? most teams prefer to pick on the opposite corner.

Because our other cb is worse. And truth be told, it does not seem like teams go outta their way to avoid him.

Also, everyone please note, I don't think he sucks, I just don't think he's special.

We saw a lot of improvement out of him as the season went on last year but not so much since then. I think the worst thing that happened to him is Deion Sanders falling in love with his game. He's been talking him up so much that the rest of sports media just fell in step with him. He's average, maybe a little above but with the ability to be much better. Also It would be nice if he didn't take any tackling tips from Adrian Wilson.

yeah I coming to live on Ochie island
I think he is much overrated too. I cannot see what all the talking heads see in him
even rookie QBs have no fear targeting him.

Move PP to receiver and the Cardinals have their speed receiver.

Peterson is a great athlete trying to develop into a great CB. Teams aren't afraid to throw at him which is why he gets pass breakups and ints. He is still a top 10 CB is the league and I think that is great development for his second year.

You really think top 10??? I think you're overrating him. By a large margin.

I think some of the defensive issues we see today are clearly the fault of the offense. When you know your offense can't score, the defense does things they shouldn't. Like trying to strip the ball instead of tackle, or jump routes. Peterson got away with a huge one in the 2nd half he jumped a route on 3rd down and Ponder threw over the top but he missed badly and it was incomplete. It was a TD if he makes the throw.

It's not that PP is not good it's that he thinks he HAS to get a picksix so he took a chance.

The TD pass to Harvin I don't know how anybody can blame PP he had to go through all that traffic or go around, someone has to help him there it was such an obvious play based on where Harvin lined up.

I love Horton but that TD was to me on the DC for not having his defense ready for something like that based on formation.

He sux. I just don't know anymore. I think Madden expectations should not apply, IMO

gotta disagree there

#5 in the NFL in total tackles, #2 in solo, T-#8 in sacks. I'd say he's doing a decent job there

He's young still and in Horton's D. PIT gets away with more PI than anybody, either PP will get that preferential treatment or he will stop being so physical. But his stats as a 2nd year player still impress the hell outta me. Harvin may be the most underrated WR in the league, by the way

You know, he impresses me too but I think he's a long way from deserving to be talked about as the best in the game. Which is exactly how Deion Sanders and a lot of others have been talking about him. That's not his fault but it's why some of us think he's being overrated.
