Gerald Green needs to go. I haven't despised a player as much him ever. Not even Frye, not even Plumlee, not even Beasley, not even Diaw.

He's literally f***ing useless.

Both Bledsoe and Dragic with trash games. Bledsoe with 11 pts on 16 shots. Dragic something similar. Can't overcome all that and win.

Suns once again show that they can't beat good teams in the West in close games. They have to now be like 0-10 in those kind of games.

Over reaction bud. Beasley sucked. Plumlee is terrible. Diaw was serviceable and still is. Green won us games early this year. But lately it looks like we are playing stupid-ball.

The Suns have played more games, more road games and fewer home games than any team in the west and are still in 8th place. They have the next 8 games at home and no more back to backs until the last days of February.

But they suck at home.

Look at the Suns schedule. They had one of the easiest schedules thus far. The remaining schedule is brutal.

Btw Suns record in OT games: 0-4

We aren't ever gonna beat Memphis. I know it's a loser attitude but why not just rest Bledsoe and Dragic for the games in which we know aren't gonna win for sure? Give the young guys some burn in those games instead.

This is asinine...sit your best player when you play the best teams...Calling it a loser's mentality is an understatement.

We are not as good as Memphis, period! a win by the Suns would have been an upset...so whats all this fuss for. They sucked but took them to double overtime, at least they competed.

Moral victories don't count for anything. We had plenty of moral wins last year.

And no it's not the best teams, it's just teams like Memphis who are physical. Suns are a soft team obviously, we aren't beating any physical teams.

Yes and you will still have to live with a lot more moral victory until the franchise actually lands the personnel to get the team over the hump.

I liked the way Horny used Wright in this game... until Len was in foul trouble Wright played with Len or Plums on the floor with him. Granted it was against a big team but with Len getting 30 minutes we got 55 minutes out of our centers and I doubt if we'd broken 40 before. If Jeff keeps it up, Wright will be a definite boost for us. I don't mind Wright playing center alongside Markieff - that still keeps Marcus out of the pf slot, which is something we need to happen.

I don't know if Brandan is really 240 but he sure as heck isn't 210... whew!

I haven't any use for moral victories but they played pretty well against a team that kills us and I like that. I don't think the team needs to land a super star, some adjustments will be needed but the maturation process and playing together will make us a contender over the next couple of years. I'd sure like to see Jeff start weaning the team away from reliance on Green's scoring, but I don't expect it. Frankly, I'm more confident that our players are good enough than I am in Hornacek's coaching... and I like the fastbreak style he's using.

It's so weird, it's like last season we couldn't beat crap teams. This season we can't win any close games.

What will it be next season? We can't win on the road?

I must confess, I am not all that upset by losses this year. I am more concerned about seeing the roster improved and watching the development of young players. Don't get me wrong, I would rather win than lose. Its just not the primary thing in the rebuilding process.

I am thoroughly enjoying the development of Len. I think that, eventually, he can be one of a "big three" that competes for a championship. I am not longer sure that Dragic and/or Bledsoe can be. I certainly do not believe that they can be the other two players of a "big three." They could both be on a championship team, but it is going to take someone else.

I agree with your entire post, but I do think that Bledsoe and Dragic can be a part of the "big three" that wins a title, as long as it's just one of them and he is the third option.

EDIT:
Also, I really wish TJ was getting 5-10 minutes per game. I realize there is no playing time out there for Goodwin and Ennis, but I really think it wouldn't be too difficult to give TJ some minutes by taking 2-3 minutes away from Marcus Morris, Green, and PJ.

Too bad Warren, Ennis and Goodwin all ride the bench. Marcus has hit his potential. So has Gerald Green.

That's what I was trying to say. One or the other of them could be one of a big three. They both could be on the team. But Bledsoe and Dragic together cannot be two thirds of a big three on a championship team

Hot damn! I'm in agreement with JCS, SirStef, and sunsfan. This is historic.

Happily, I think Green will try for a big payday and price himself out of a slot on the Suns. I suppose, to that end, we shouldn't begrudge him his playing time this year - it sure hurts to say that.

Its probably better if we don't make the playoffs - making them could congeal McD and Horny minds that they are precisely the right track with this group. I want them to be thinking of ways to shake loose of Green and, maybe, Marcus. Marcus, the SF, is okay but Marcus, the PF, stinks. With any luck Wright will push him out of the latter role entirely.

As far as our three PGs go, something's going to have to change and Dragic as a FA will probably determine what that is. Though, its not inconceivable that Sarver will want to pay Goran the same as Bledsoe and lose money to do it. I don't that's sustainable and I can't see another team ever being willing to take him on at that price - caving on Bledsoe was such a stupid thing to do. We might find a taker for Eric if we don't wait too long - I'm leery of this idea of the future TV contracts will make outrageous contracts seem reasonable. But i've been wrong in the past in this same line of thought.

Are you "da_suns_fan" from phx-suns.net? Same level of vitriol towards a 20 mpg player who apparently went from a fan-favorite last year to a doormat this.

No im not. Secondly I wasn't a huge fan of Green last year either. I'm not a fan of guys like him, and JR Smith.

Ok - it just seemed like the same posting style after an "okay" game by Green. Not the shooting percentage, surely, but 3 of those misses were easy put-backs so they ended in a score after he drove to the rim. He needs to do much more of that. And three assists - tied for second-most on the team. His late TO was pretty bad, but it was also a scrambled play to begin with with IT fumbling the ball after the TO by Memphis. It went from an IT TO to a Green TO.
I don't think I am off by saying that Green is (or at least was) a fan-favorite. I don't really feel like defending him, it just seems overblown to me...

WTF were they thinking using the smallest lightest PG at that crucial time and giving him no backup ... :bang:

Steve Nash is rolling over in his grave right now watching the Suns not even be able to bring the ball up half court.
