If you want the Bucks pick this year, you want them to win the toss. That's where I'm at, though some have argued they would rather have a future pick.

I prefer to have the Bucks pick now as they figure only to get better.

Thanks for clarifying the draft situation.

The Suns would have won the coin flip for Kareem in this type of coin toss. Instead it was caught and flipped over which cost the Suns the No. 1 pick.

Gambo keeps saying the Suns don’t want it to convey this year. I’m sure he’ll change his tune if we end up getting it.

Aaaaaand another coin flip for the suns. Let’s get that pick!

Being COMPLETELY superstitious, I’d almost rather see us lose this pick and not use up any good luck until the end all be all lotto drawing.

Bucks fans are split on whether they want it to convey now or not. They think a new coach might want to blow up the team and do a minor rebuild (which makes no sense to me).

I think I would like it to convey this year but there are definite benefits for the future. Having three 1st rounders almost forces a trade and other teams know it and low ball you. A #17 pick in this draft might be ok. But you could still package the two picks together in a trade even if it does not convey this year. Giannis could get hurt or something. That Bucks team has a future with Giannis but it is not very deep and cannot handle significant injuries. The mgmt team is not that great either. They do not draft very well for the most part. So I am sort of ambivalent.

That's a solid point about not having 3 picks this year. It may be more valuable to the Suns for it to convey later for that very reason. I don't think it's like a pick that belongs to a strong contender either, it's a playoff team in the east that is a fringe playoff team at that. So it should be viewed as being as a pick that will probably end up between #15 and 21 when it does convey. Of course, Giannis leaving could change that. That would be typical Suns luck, they trade the pick and Giannis asks out making that pick way more valuable down the road.

If the Suns get the Bucks pick, it will be almost like having four first round picks with the Suns owning the 31st pick in the second round.

I'd like the Suns to trade one or more of their picks for a future draft pick or trade for a player. I do not like the idea of combining draft picks unless it is for someone really special.

Draft picks are too valuable to be be treated lightly.

So do we get Milwaukee's 2nd round if we don't get their first or is there another coin flip for draft order in the 2nd round?

We get their pick if it's not #31-46 in the 2nd round.

By all rights considering all the youth we have the suns picks alone should be sufficient right now. Then we have Miami pick too....now we are clamoring for the Bucks pick to convey. I guess this is the draft to cash in on but considering all our youth with all the picks its forcing trades now. I don't like the suns in a position where they have to do something...But better to have too many picks than not enough...I guess.

Yeah I'm pretty sure if we get their first pick then their 2nd would be #46 and we wouldn't get it.

If we did get it, we might consider trading it to a team like Cleveland or Memphis for a future first rounder.

I do not expect the Suns to keep all their draft picks. They can be used to trade for a player or for a future first rounder.

This is a good draft so I do not expect any problems trading them unlike the 2014 NBA Draft where their value was diminished.

If the Suns get three first-rounders, they should keep all of them. If they don't have multiple players they like at #16, they haven't done their homework. So take two of them and hope that one pans out.
