Good news, Philly is up 40-12...
The ties involved in draft order can feature a team in EC vs a team is WC, which of course, isn't resolved by playoff seeding. So the playoff seed doesn't determine draft order? I thought it did. That seems odd that it doesn't and they'd do a coin flip for draft positioning only.
We have to thank Orlando if Washington wins because they have limited Gordon's minutes tonight and he was destroying Washington in the first half. The Bucks did their part. The other two games are going to come down to the wire.
And the Heat win so we lose a slot there.
Great.
So if there was a 3-way tie how would their draft order be determined?
That means that they tie right and now we have a 50/50 shot at the pick. If we lose the pick we gain the slot.
So the Suns are guaranteed the 16th pick, and have a 50/50 chance of also getting the 17th pick.
If the Bucks win the coin flip and have the better pick, we will have both the 15th and 16th Picks this year. If Milwaukee loses the flip, we will have this years 16th pick (Suns Pick) and a future Bucks first round pick.
Washington lost. No 3-way tie.
If the Heat win the toss on Friday, they get the 16th pick, which goes to the Suns, and the Bucks at 17 doesn't convey.
If the Bucks win the toss, they are at 16, the Suns get that, and the Heat pick the Suns own moves to 17.
The Wizards locked up the 15th pick with their loss.
