Good. No one can convince me we needed that pick this draft.

Now it has better conditions attached next season.

For those wanting the Suns to move up in the draft, this may not be a good development:

Loss of Milwaukee's pick will make it harder, at least in my mind, to move up in the first round. If Suns want to do that they'll now have to include a player and/or a future first-round pick

Uhh...The Milwaukee pick is now a future first round pick. It still has value. It can still be dealt.

If the suns wanted to use it so badly this draft they wouldn't have loaded it with back end protections.

yeah... I'm sure it was the Suns who put those protections on it!

so, does this mean we don't get to really judge McD this off-season since he won't have one of those great assets he's stockpiled like many have said?

It may have been easier to trade the Bucks pick in this draft if it had conveyed.

There is no doubt it still has value much like when the Heat traded two first round picks for Dragic.

It’s really just amazing that whenever a pick can be delayed to us it is. I can’t recall us ever getting the high end of one of these deals.

And it will make McDonough work to obtain a solid mid-career player to balance the team.

I know the potential would be to be overloaded with high picks so we could trade one -- if we didn't already have the youngest team in the league.

'Sorry, but I just don't think that our GM has the track record to trust in his being aggressive in that regard. Not if we want an experienced permanent Head Coach to accept an offer.

see post 1062 in this thread.

Its not that the sky is falling, its just that these drawings don't seem to go the Suns way--ever.
But really, is this one that big of a deal? There are only 2 choices if we got this pick -- use it or package it for a trade. It's still a trade asset, and whoever we picked at that spot wouldn't have moved the needle all that much, especially considering there would be 2 higher picks ahead of it, so I don't see the big deal. I have a hard time thinking the 17 would put a team over the top to trade us a top 10 pick this year.

You also said it was a product of the Suns bad luck, which is ridiculous.
Good grief. Do you argue just to argue? What in the world is ridiculous about noting that these drawings never seem to go the Suns way. It is one of the most innocuous statement a person can make on a message board. Fine. If you want to call that statement ridiculous, that's just fine. Its like arguing over whether water tastes good.
