Looking at Bucs shoddy tackling, which appears to be worse than Cards right now against Panthers on MNF, I'd love to get Bucs...

Qb's that move around in the pocket seem to give the Cards fits. And with no pass rush from our front 4 right now, I would rather see someone other than Garcia or Romo. Chances are thats who we will get, one of the two.

Bucs offense doesn't scare me. Garcia is ok. Their red zone offense has been woeful. Their defense has been tough but today did not even look anything close to formidable.

It's gotta be the bucs if you ask me. their defense has a good scheme, but can be beaten as we saw tonight. their offense is not very good IMO..the cowboys beat them with less than 200 yards of offense. they are a poor road team.

nevertheless, come playoff time you just have to play the team that shows up. like the G-men, colts, and steelers have done in the prior three years. no one had those teams as the favorites to win their conference...much less a lock to win their first playoff game. yet they won the superbowl after bearly sneaking in the tournament.

I wish we could play the Rams, but other than that it doesn't matter. You have to win them all after the season ends.

The Panthers tick me off for some reason. I'd love to knock them out of the playoffs.

The reason for me is jealousy.

The Panthers are exactly where the Cardinals philosophy wants to be.

The Panthers have a good defense, an offense that can run on just about anyone, and a lethal passing game.

Much more balanced then the Cardinals.

Even though I don't think we match up well with the Eagles, I'd like a crack at them at home. I'm so tired of all the football fans in the philly area lamenting that either they can't play in the west or that the cards are no longer playing in the NFC East. Burying the eagles and their fickle fans would be the best Christmas present ever.

Who do I think we would be most likely to beat? Tampa Bay, because I don't think they have the offensive firepower to match us even if our defense doesn't show up. I think even though they have one of the best defenses in the NFL this year, our offense is good enough to still score on them.

Who do I most want to see ? Atlanta, I think they are for real, and I would like to see how we can match up with their young explosive offense.

I don't care who we play and won't waste a single moment fretting about it. And those defeatist posts fearing we don't match up with "so and so" read like concession speeches to me.

lighten up francis. why always so damn cranky Skkorp? defeatist posts and concession speeches... god forbid people talk about football matchups on a football message board. what worse? talking about who we're gonna play or talking about people's posts on the board?

To make things fair the league should put together an All Star team to come here and play us.:D

We are going to kick anybody's ass that comes here for that first playoff game.
We are home. It ain't going to be cold, wet, or windy. We will shock the league when we roll up about 35 points on anybody they send here. Then ALL the experts will be climbing all over each other to tell us how they told us so.

Bucs would probably beat the Birds. That cover 2 that monte giffin features gives warner fits.

I think the Cards would beat the Rams or the 49ers in the first round. Other then that it's just good they made some progress this year but their weak division really was the only thing that helped them get into the playoffs.

The cards are last in running in the NFL. Add in a small defense that is wearing down as the season is dwindling. Not a good recipe for playoff success.

There's a board for smack talk, and this isn't it. Go elsewhere if you want to trash our team, thanks much. Now, remember that this is coming from a giant Cards pessimest, but damn it, we earned our way in and we're probably going to win our first game because it's a home game and we're tough at home. After that? Who knows? Teams have won the SB when nobody gave them a shot to advance in the playoffs.

Wow my post hardly qualifies for anything overly negative. How much of that Card kool-aid have you had? I am a BIG card's fan but I am just trying to be realistic.

should we all just write glowing reports on our team? Pathetic.

He don't know me vewy well, do he?

Dude, I've been on record as saying we have zero chance to make the Super Bowl, but without even hoping we can get farther than the first round, seriously, what's the point of watching or caring?

I agree with Ari to a point. It'll be at home. That will give the Cardinals a solid shot no matter who they play. I don't see the Cardinals beating any playoff team on the road right now tho.

No, Ari is completely defeatist. He said we could only beat two non-playoff teams in the first round at home. Basically saying we can't win a playoff game, even at home, no matter what. Why bother even watching or rooting for them, then? For Ari, I mean.

How is that Kool-Aid tasting this morning?

I am not a defeatist. I am a realist. I am happy with the progress of the Cards. I am a big fan. But as yesterday's game demonstrated we are slightly above mediocre as I stated BEFORE the game.

Go ahead and apologize.

There you are! I couldn't remember your name or the thread so I apologized in another thread. Yeah, at this point, I have ZERO confidence we will win at home in the playoffs. We'll probably finish 8-8 unless we decide not to sit our starters against Seattle. Ugh.
